Frequently Asked Questions - SOOGM-19L CRUX

Which vehicles does the CRUX SOOGM-19L interface hub support?
The SOOGM-19L is designed for General Motors vehicles with a 19-pin radio connector, typically from model years 2006 to 2013, including Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac models. Always verify your vehicle's connector type before purchase.
Is programming required for installation?
No, the SOOGM-19L is plug-and-play. It requires no programming or external modules. Simply connect the harness between the factory wiring and your aftermarket radio.
Will this interface retain factory chimes and OnStar?
Yes, the SOOGM-19L retains factory chimes, OnStar, and other audio alerts. It also maintains the original steering wheel controls and Bose amplifier integration.
Does it support steering wheel control adaptation?
Yes, the interface preserves factory steering wheel controls. However, some aftermarket radios may require an additional adapter (e.g., ASWC-1) for full functionality. Check your radio's compatibility.
What is the power consumption of the SOOGM-19L?
The interface draws minimal power directly from the vehicle's 12V system, typically less than 0.5 amps. It does not require a separate power source.
Can I install this hub myself?
Yes, installation is straightforward. Disconnect the battery, remove the factory radio, connect the SOOGM-19L harness between the vehicle harness and the aftermarket radio, then secure all connections. Basic wiring knowledge is recommended.
What type of aftermarket radios are compatible?
The SOOGM-19L works with most aftermarket single-DIN and double-DIN radios that have standard ISO connectors. It supports both analog and digital radios.
Does the interface retain the factory backup camera?
If your vehicle has a factory backup camera, the SOOGM-19L can retain it. However, you may need a separate adapter for the video signal depending on your aftermarket radio.
What should I do if the interface does not work after installation?
First, check all wiring connections and ensure the harness is fully seated. Verify that the vehicle's battery is connected. If the problem persists, consult the installation guide or contact CRUX support. Common issues include incorrect vehicle wiring or faulty aftermarket radio settings.
Where can I find the installation guide for the SOOGM-19L?
The installation guide is included in the package. You can also download a PDF version from the CRUX website or from notice-facile.com. The guide provides step-by-step instructions and wiring diagrams.
