How do I assemble the Khind SJ001 juicer?

Ensure the unit is unplugged and the switch is off. Place the squeezing bowl on the motor base, aligning the spouts and axle. Push the squeezing auger firmly into the center of the bowl until it touches the bottom. Position the chute on the bowl aligning the ▲ to the ☐ and twist clockwise until it clicks. Place the juice and pulp containers under the spouts.

How do I clean the juicer after use?

Unplug and disassemble. Wash all parts except the motor housing with water (below 40°C). Use the provided cleaning brush to remove pulp from the strainer mesh. Clean the seal ring on the squeezing bowl by pushing it out and rinsing. Dry all parts before reassembly. Do not use abrasive tools or dishwasher.

What does the reverse (R) function do?

If the squeezing auger gets stuck, press the switch to 'R' mode for about 2-3 seconds to rotate in the opposite direction, then resume normal operation. This helps clear blockages.

What happens if the juicer overheats or overloads?

The juicer will automatically turn off to protect the appliance. Turn the switch to 'O', unplug, remove some load, and wait 10 minutes for it to cool down before restarting.

What types of fruits and vegetables can I juice?

Soft and hard fruits and vegetables, such as apples, carrots, oranges, and leafy greens. Remove hard pits or seeds. Do not juice very hard, fibrous, or starchy items like sugar cane.

How long can I use the juicer continuously?

Do not operate continuously for more than 20 minutes. After that, allow the juicer to cool down before resuming use.

How do I disassemble the juicer?

Turn the switch to 'R' for 5-10 seconds, then turn to 'O' and unplug. Remove containers, then turn the chute anticlockwise to unlock and lift it off. Pull out the squeezing auger (gently if stuck), then lift the squeezing bowl vertically.

Why does the juicer not start?

Ensure the chute is properly locked (▲ aligned with ☐ and twisted clockwise until it clicks). Check that the switch is in the '-' position. If overloaded, wait for cooldown. Also verify that the voltage matches your outlet.

Can I wash the parts in a dishwasher?

No, never clean any parts in a dishwasher as hot water may damage them. Hand wash all parts except the motor housing with water at or below 40°C.

What should I do if the pulp spout is clogged?

Pull out the silicone valve at the pulp spout and clean it under running water. After cleaning, press it back securely. Use the cleaning brush to remove any residue from the spout area.

CAUTION DO NOT OPERATE / SWITCH ON WITHOUT INSERTING FRUITS INTO THE APPLIANCE

1. Carefully read all instructions before operating this appliance.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
4. Always unplug from AC mains, for the following situations:
   a) If this appliance is left unattended or
   b) If not in use or
   c) When cleaning this appliance or
   d) When moving this appliance
5. Do no immerse the Motor Housing in water or any liquid.
6. Do not use your fingers to push fruits into Feeding Tube. Use the pusher provided.
7. Follow assembly instructions closely. This appliance must be fastened correctly before operating.
8. This appliance is intended for household use only. Commercial use voids warranty.
9. Be sure to turn the switch to "OFF" position after each use of the appliance. Make sure the motor stops completely before disassembling.
10. If the food becomes lodged in opening, use pusher or another piece of fruit or vegetable to push it down. When this method is not possible, turn the motor off and disassemble juicer to remove the remaining food.
11. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
12. If the Squeezing Auger should get obstructed, put the juicer in "R" mode for about 2 to 3 seconds to let it turn in the opposite direction. After this, try to let the screw turn in the right direction again.
13. If the juicer gets overloaded it will turn off automatically to protect the appliance. In this case, please turn the juicer off "O" and unplug it, take out some load and wait 10 minutes to let the juicer cool down and then turn it on again.
14. Do not use the appliance around the perimeter of an inflammable object.
15. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local voltage before you connect to the appliance.
16. Place the product on a flat table when in use, not near other heat sources, or above other electrical appliances.
17. Do not use the appliance if the chute & strainer assembly is damaged or has visible cracks.

Safety Precaution Information

Cleaning & Maintenance

1. Make sure the appliances is off and the plug is disconnected from power outlet before putting on or taking of any parts.
2. Motor must always be kept dry. Use a damp cloth to clean the motor housing.
3. Wash the disassembled parts with water. If the meshes are clogged with pulp, please use provided cleaning brush to remove the dregs.

1. Do not use iron wire brush, abrasive or sharp object tool to clean the unit.
2. Please do not use water above 40°C to wash appliances.
3. Never clean any parts in dishwasher to avoid damage by hot water.
4. In case there is any residues remained in the mouth of the pulp spout, please pull out the silicone valve as below and clean under running water.

*Press the silicone valve to close it properly and tightly after cleaning.

1. To clean the seal ring in the center of squeezing bowl, please follow the steps below:

a) Turn the squeezing bowl upside down for easier handling, push the seal ring out with your thumb and clean it with water.
b) After cleaning, please put it back to the center hole. The small ribbed surface should be face upward. Make sure the groove of the seal ring well fit in the squeezing bowl.
c) The big flat size of the seal ring will be inside while the small and ribbed side is outside the squeezing bowl.

1. After cleaning, dry all parts.
2. Reassemble all parts in proper order and store the appliance in a dry place.

Important:

Please wash the juicing parts every time immediately after used, other wise the pulp might stick tightly in Squeezing Bowl & Squeezing Auger which will affect the disassembly, cleaning & juicing performance.

How to Use

Assembly & Disassembly Method

Assembly:

Please make sure the unit is not plugged and the switch is turned to "O" setting prior to assembling the machine.

1. Position the Squeezing Bowl on the power base aligning the position of the spouts and the axle.

1. Push the Squeezing Auger firmly into the center of the bowl, making sure that it touches down the bottom, or else the cover cannot be closed.

2. Position the chute on the bowl to align the ▲ to the "☐" and twist it clockwise until it clicks the safety lock. Please make sure that the arrow ▲ on "☐" the cover aligns with the lock graphic on the bowl.

3. Place the Juice Container and the Pulp Container under the relevant spouts.

Disassembly:

To disassemble the unit after using and before cleaning, hold the "R" for a while (5-10 seconds), then please turn the juicer to "O" position and disconnect the juicer from power source.

Then, please follow the steps below:

1. Remove the Juice and Pulp Containers.

How to Use

1. Remove the Chute. Turn the chute anti-clockwise until the aligns with the "√" sign.
2. Remove the Squeezing Auger by pulling it out upward. If it is very hard, swing gently and pull.
3. Remove the Squeezing Bowl by lifting it upward vertically.

Operating Instruction

1. Connect the unit with power.
2. Check and make sure all parts are well assembled in correct position.
3. Make sure the machine is at off "O" position.
4. Make sure the Juice and Pulp Containers are in position.
5. Make sure the Juice Spout cover is closed.
6. Prepare the fruits or vegetables.
7. Put fruits or vegetables into the Chute.

1. Press the switch to setting "-" to start the juicing operation
2. Push the food down with the pusher only.
3. In case food stuck inside the bowl, please switch to "R" reverse function instantly.

How to Use

Tips:

a) Keep the Drip-Stop Cover closed before the juice is full in the Squeezing Bowl.

b) Remove hard pits or seed prior to pressing to prevent possible damage to the squeezing screw.
c) If mixed juices are to be made, please begin with harder fruit, and then squeeze the soft fruit.
d) Please let the juicer to run for 30 seconds after the last ingredient was fed.

Note:

i) Please do not use the juicer continuously longer than 20 minutes.
ii) The juicer is not suitable for juicing very hard or fibrous and starchy fruits or vegetables such as sugar cane.
