What does a green light mean when scanning a bill?
A green light in the Verification Window indicates the bill passed all inspections (UV, MG, IR, IM). The unit beeps once and displays the denomination.
What does a red light mean?
A red light means the bill failed inspection. The unit beeps three times, the display shows the previous total, and specific failure LEDs light up to indicate which feature (UV, MG, IR, IM) caused the failure.
Can I update the machine for new currency?
Yes, the PRMDC40 has the ability to be updated with new currency. Follow the manual's instructions for update procedures (likely via a firmware update). Contact Pyle support for details.
How do I feed a bill correctly?
Place the bill along the left edge of the entrance with the top of the head on the bill to the right. Gently push the bill into the throat; the machine will pull it in for scanning.
What are the maximum counts the machine can display?
The total count and denomination display can show up to 9999. After that, it will roll over or need to be cleared.
What do the failure LEDs indicate?
After a failed inspection, LED indicators light up corresponding to the detection technology that flagged the bill: UV, MG, IR, or IM. This helps identify why the bill was rejected.
How do I clean and maintain the detector?
Regularly clean the bill path and sensors with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid moisture. Store in a dry environment. Refer to manual for detailed cleaning instructions.
