Frequently Asked Questions - Tribeca 5279 So & Co

How do I set the time on my So & Co Tribeca 5279 watch?
Pull the crown out to the first position (for date adjustment) or second position (for time adjustment). Turn the crown to set the correct time, then push it back in.
Is my Tribeca 5279 watch water resistant?
Yes, it has a water resistance rating of 3 ATM, meaning it can withstand splashes but should not be submerged or used while swimming.
What type of battery does the watch use?
It typically uses a SR626SW or equivalent silver oxide battery. Replacement should be done by a professional to maintain water resistance.
How do I adjust the metal bracelet length?
Use a pin removal tool to push out the pins in the links. Remove an equal number of links from each side of the clasp to maintain symmetry.
The watch stops running. What should I do?
First, check if the crown is fully pushed in. If not, press it in. If the watch still stops, the battery may be depleted and needs replacement.
Can I replace the strap with a different one?
Yes, the strap is interchangeable. The lug width is standard (typically 20 mm). You can use any compatible strap.
How often should I service my watch?
Quartz watches require minimal service. Battery replacement every 1-2 years is recommended. A full service every 5-7 years is advised by professionals.
What should I avoid when wearing my watch?
Avoid exposing the watch to strong magnetic fields, extreme temperatures, or chemicals like perfumes and solvents to prevent damage.
How do I clean the watch?
Clean the case and strap with a soft, dry cloth. For metal bracelets, you can use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly.
The date changes at noon, not midnight. What is wrong?
This means the watch is set 12 hours off. Simply advance the time by 12 hours (e.g., from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM) to correct the AM/PM cycle.
