What does the 'Steam Clean' function do?

The steam cleaning cycle uses moisture to loosen food residue inside the microwave. Place a cup of water inside, select Steam Clean, and run the cycle. After it finishes, wipe the interior with a soft cloth.

Can I use metal utensils in this microwave?

No, metal can cause arcing and damage the unit. Only use microwave-safe containers, such as glass, ceramic, or microwave-safe plastic. Avoid aluminum foil unless specifically directed.

How do I defrost food using the defrost function?

Press Defrost, enter the weight of the food in pounds using the number pads, and press Start. The microwave automatically calculates the defrosting time and prompts you to turn the food when necessary.

What is the child safety lock and how do I activate it?

The child lock prevents accidental operation. To activate, press and hold both the Stop/Clear and Start buttons for 3 seconds. A lock icon will appear. To deactivate, repeat the same sequence.

Why is my microwave not heating but the light and turntable work?

This could indicate a faulty magnetron, high-voltage diode, or capacitor. Check if the door is properly closed. If problem persists, contact LG service. Do not attempt to repair high-voltage components yourself.

How do I clean the microwave exterior?

Use a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads. For the control panel, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe gently to prevent damage.

What is the maximum cooking time I can set?

You can set up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds in manual mode. For auto cook programs, the time is pre-set based on the food type and weight.

Can I use the microwave without the turntable?

No, the turntable ensures even cooking. Operating without it may result in uneven heating and potential damage to the microwave.

How do I reset the microwave after a power outage?

Power Saving Mode

The mouse will automatically enter power saving mode if it is idle for a certain amount of time or its USB receiver is removed from the PC while being used in USB wireless mode. You can exit power saving mode by pressing the left or right mouse button.
