Frequently Asked Questions - SD 2 Aerial

How do I set the desired humidity level on the Aerial SD 2?
Turn the humidistat knob to your desired humidity level (typically 40-60% RH). The dehumidifier will run until the room reaches that level, then shut off automatically.
How often should I clean the filter?
Clean the washable filter every 2 weeks for optimal performance. Remove the filter, wash with water and mild detergent, let dry completely before reinserting.
What does the full tank indicator mean?
When the water tank is full, the indicator light will illuminate and the unit will automatically shut off. Empty the tank and replace it to restart operation.
Can I use a continuous drain hose?
Yes. Connect a standard garden hose (inner diameter 15 mm) to the drain outlet at the back of the unit. Ensure the hose slopes downward for proper drainage.
What is the noise level of the SD 2?
The noise level is approximately 40 dB(A), which is comparable to a quiet conversation. It should not disturb sleep if placed in a bedroom.
The dehumidifier is not collecting water, what could be wrong?
Check that the humidistat is set lower than the current room humidity. Also ensure the filter is clean, the tank is properly inserted, and the room temperature is above 5°C.
How do I defrost the unit in cold weather?
The SD 2 has an automatic defrost function. When frost builds up on the coils, the compressor will stop and the fan will run until defrost is complete. This is normal.
What is the recommended room size for this dehumidifier?
Ideal for rooms up to 20 m² (215 ft²) with standard ceiling height. For larger spaces, performance may be reduced.
How do I clean the water tank?
Empty the tank and rinse with mild soap and warm water. Do not use abrasive cleaners. Dry thoroughly before reinstalling. Clean monthly to prevent mold.
Where can I find spare parts or repair service?
Contact Aerial customer service or authorized service centers. Common spare parts like filters and tanks can be ordered online. For internal repairs, always use a qualified technician.
