Frequently Asked Questions - PH 30.3 AVM

How do I register the handset to the base station?

Place the handset on the base station for about 10 seconds. The handset will automatically register and display a confirmation message. If not, press the registration button on the base and follow the handset instructions.

Can I use the phone during a power outage?

No, the base station requires AC power. The handset batteries only work when the base is powered. During a blackout, the phone will not function.

How do I set the date and time?

Press the menu button, navigate to 'Settings', then 'Date & Time'. Use the keypad to enter the correct values and confirm with 'OK'.

Why is the range poor?

Range can be affected by walls, electronic interference, or large metal objects. Try moving the base station to a central, elevated location away from other electronics.

How do I adjust the ringer volume?

Press the up/down keys on the side of the handset during standby to adjust ringer volume. You can also go to 'Settings' > 'Sounds' for more options.

Can I block unwanted calls?

Yes, go to 'Call List', select the number you want to block, and choose 'Block'. The phone will reject future calls from that number.

How do I replace the batteries?

Slide off the battery cover on the back of the handset. Remove the old batteries and insert new NiMH AAA batteries, observing polarity. Replace the cover.

Is the phone compatible with VoIP?

The AVM PH 30.3 is a standard DECT phone for analog lines. It is not natively VoIP-compatible, but it can be used with a VoIP adapter connected to a router.

How do I reset the phone to factory settings?

Go to 'Settings' > 'Reset'. You may need to enter the PIN (default 0000). Confirm to restore factory defaults. All data will be erased.

What type of charger does the base station use?

The base station uses a DC 5V adapter with a round plug. Only use the original adapter supplied with the phone to avoid damage.

In case the original packing has already been opened, please contact your local dealer. Often, your dealer prepares your new device prior to delivery to adapt and change the configuration to your personal needs.

Connect your turntable with the ground connection „GND“ (1) and one of the available input sockets “MM” (2) or “MC” (3). Depending on the operating principle of your cartridge, please choose one of the available phono inputs for electromagnetic transducers (MM = Moving Magnet) (2) or electrodynamic transducers (MC = Moving Coil) (3). Please refer to the manual of your cartridge system to find out on which principle it is based. Depending on the desired load resistor of your MC system, your MC system may solely be connected with the MC input sockets (3) or additionally be adapted via the MC cartridge loading sockets (4) and the supplied load resistor plugs (100Ω, 200Ω, 1000Ω).
