Frequently Asked Questions - FHEE22A9S-2 Technika

How do I install the Technika FHEE22A9S-2 range hood?
Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is mounted at the recommended height above the cooktop, typically 65-75 cm for electric hobs and 75-85 cm for gas hobs. Secure the hood to the wall or cabinet using the provided brackets and screws.
How do I clean the grease filters?
The aluminum grease filters can be cleaned in a dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling. It is recommended to clean them every 2-3 months depending on usage.
Why is my range hood not working?
Check if the power cord is plugged in, the circuit breaker is not tripped, and the speed buttons are correctly pressed. Also ensure the motor hasn't overheated; wait a few minutes and try again.
How often should I replace the carbon filter?
If your hood is used in recirculation mode, the carbon filter should be replaced every 3-6 months depending on cooking frequency.
Can I use the hood without ducting?
Yes, the hood can operate in recirculation mode by installing a carbon filter. The air is filtered and returned to the kitchen.
What is the noise level of this hood?
The maximum noise level is approximately 65 dB, similar to a normal conversation. Lower speeds produce less noise.
How do I change the LED bulb?
Switch off the power, remove the lamp cover, and replace the LED module with a compatible one. If unsure, contact customer service.
Why is the hood making a rattling noise?
Check if the grease filters are properly installed or if an object has fallen into the fan. Tighten any loose screws or contact support.
What are the dimensions of the hood?
The approximate dimensions are 60 cm width, 50 cm depth, and 15 cm height. Check the manual for exact measurements.
How do I reset the filter indicator?

Before connecting to the electricity network:

Look at the data plate (located inside the appliance) to ascertain that the voltage and power correspond to the available power supply and the power outlet is suitable. If in doubt ask a qualified electrician.

If the appliance is used intensively for a long period of time, you may need to opening a window to improve airflow.

Use and Care

It is recommended to start the Range Hood prior to commencing to cook and leave the Range Hood in operation for 15 minutes after cooking is finished in order to completely eliminate cooking vapours and odours.

To ensure the Range Hood continues to operate effectively, regular maintenance and cleaning is required. Clean the fan and other surfaces of the Range Hood regularly using a cloth moistened with warm water or non abrasive liquid detergent.

Halogen light

The halogen light globe is designed for use during cooking and not for prolonged general illumination of the environment. Prolonged use of the light notably reduces the life of the bulb.

To replace the halogen light globe use a blade screwdriver to lift and remove the overhead light fixture. Replace the globe. Use only halogen lamps as per the original specification, avoiding contact with hands when replacing the globe. Return the light fixture to its position (snap fastening). (Fig. 3)
