How do I pair the iLive IAEBT449 earphones with my phone?

Make sure the earphones are charged. Turn them on by pressing the multifunction button for 3 seconds until the LED flashes red and blue. On your phone, enable Bluetooth and select 'IAEBT449' from the list. If prompted, enter PIN 0000.

How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?

The battery lasts up to 8 hours of playback. Charging via the included Micro USB cable takes about 2 hours. The LED turns solid red when charging and off when fully charged.

Can I use the earphones while they are charging?

No, it is not recommended to use the earphones while charging. Allow them to charge fully before use.

What do the LED indicators mean?

Flashing red and blue: pairing mode. Steady blue: connected. Flashing blue: music playing (low battery). Solid red: charging. Off: fully charged or powered off.

How do I answer a call or control music?

Press the multifunction button once to answer/end a call. Press once to play/pause music. Double-press to skip forward. Triple-press to skip back. Press and hold for 2 seconds to activate voice assistant.

The earphones are not connecting. What should I do?

Ensure the earphones are charged and in pairing mode (LED flashing red/blue). Delete the device from your phone's Bluetooth list and try pairing again. Reset by pressing the button for 10 seconds until the LED flashes red rapidly.

Are the earphones waterproof?

They have an IPX4 rating, meaning they are resistant to sweat and light splashes. Do not submerge them in water or wear them while swimming.

How do I clean the earphones?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the earphones and ear tips. Do not use any liquids or solvents. Remove ear tips and rinse them with water if needed, but let them dry completely before reattaching.

Can I replace the ear tips?

Yes, the ear tips are removable and replaceable. The package includes three sizes (S, M, L). For replacements, contact iLive customer support.

The sound is too low or distorted. What can I do?

Check that the ear tips fit well in your ear to ensure proper seal and bass. Increase volume on both the earphones and your device. Ensure the Bluetooth connection is stable and within range (up to 10 meters).

Charging the Earbuds

For best results, charge fully before use. Charging time is approximately 2 hours.

1. Open the cover and place the earbuds in their docking stations (note Left and Right placement).
2. Close the case to ensure the contact between earbuds and the case.
3. Use the Power switch on the case to power it ON and begin charging the earbuds.
4. While charging, the indicator on the earbuds will turn red.
5. When charging is complete, the indicator will turn blue. After 5 minutes, the indicator and the case will power off.

Charging the Case

For best results, charge fully before use. Charging time is approximately 2 hours.

Using a Micro-USB to USB cable, connect to the USB port of a powered on computer or USB power adaptor (not included) to charge the case.

Linking Earbuds

Note: After the initial connection, the earbuds will remain linked and will not need to be reconnected for each use.

To link the earbuds:

• Press and hold the Function button on both earbuds to power them on. The LEDs on both earbuds will quickly flash red and blue.
• Quick press the Function button on the right earbud to pair the earbuds together.
• When successfully paired, a voice will announce the connection, and the right earbud LED will flash red and blue, while the left one slowly flashes blue.

Pairing Bluetooth

Note: You can power on a single earbud to use as a single unit, and it will function in Mono sound mode.

1. With the earbuds linked, you can now connect to your Bluetooth device. The LED indicator on the right earbud will continue flashing blue and red, indicating it is ready to pair to a Bluetooth device.
2. On your Bluetooth device, access Bluetooth Settings and search for nearby devices. Select IAEBT449 when it is discovered. When successfully connected to your Bluetooth device, a voice prompt will announce the Bluetooth connection and the LED indicator on both earbuds will blink blue once every 7 seconds.
3. Audio played through the connected Bluetooth device will now be heard through both earbuds.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of truly wireless earbuds, you may experience slight interruptions with your audio in areas with multiple 2.4Ghz bands or in high wireless traffic areas.

Audio Functions

• To play/pause audio, quickly press the Function button.
• To skip to the next audio track, press the Function button twice while audio is playing.
• You can also or use the controls on the connected phone to handle audio functions.

Speakerphone Functions

Note: Only the right earbud functions with phone calls.

• To accept or end a phone call, press the Function button.
• To reject a call, press and hold the Function button for 2 seconds.
• You can also or use the controls on the connected phone to handle phone functions.

Auto-Charge Feature

While the case power is ON:

- Placing the earbuds in the charging case will automatically power them off and begin charging.
