SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

2. Do not allow children to operate or play with the scale.

BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS:

• Use recommended batteries.
• Make sure the battery compartment is secure.
• Remove the battery if the scale is for an extended period.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• Remove the battery insulation tab before using the scale.
• Place the scale on a level, hard surface to ensure the effectiveness of the measurement.
• Press ON/TARE button to turn the scale on. "18888" first appears on the LCD then 3 seconds later, the weight is displayed.
• Place the object in the middle of the glass platform, likewise if you are using a bowl.
• Wait for the LCD to stabilize and read the weight of the object.

UNIT CONVERTER:

- Press ON/TARE button, The LCD will show "0 g", and then press the UNIT button, g/lb/oz/kg will appear on the upper part of the screen. After defining the unit, 2 seconds later, the LCD displays the weight of object in the desired unit.

TARE FUNCTION:

• You can make consecutive weighings without removing the container located on the glass platform. Each time before adding an object, simply press ON/TARE button for 2 seconds, and the function will return the LCD to zero. Place the additional object on the platform, the LCD will display only the net weight of the added object.
• During the time when TARE function is active, the LCD displays an icon letter 'T' in the lower left corner of the screen. When you begin to remove the objects from the platform, the LCD will begin to show a negative value of the object removed.

AUTO OFF:

- The balance is off if the LCD shows zero or the same weight for over 30 seconds.

MANUAL OFF:

- Press and hold ON/TARE for 3 seconds until the balance turns off.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Clean the scale with damp cloth.
• Ensure balance is on a firm surface. Avoid carpets or uneven surfaces.

• Do not immerse in water or place under running tap water.
