Notes on Headphones

Road Safety

Do not use headphones while driving, cycling, or operating any motorized vehicle. It may create a traffic hazard and is illegal in many areas. It can also be potentially dangerous to play your headsets at high volume while walking, especially at pedestrian crossings. You should exercise extreme caution or discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.

Preventing hearing damage

Avoid using headphones at high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous, loud and extended play. If you experience a ringing in your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use.

Caring for others

Keep the volume at a moderate level. This will allow you to hear outside sounds and to be considerable to the people around you.

Note on cassettes with more than 90 minutes of playtime The use of cassettes with more than 90 minutes of playtime is not recommended except or long continuous playback

Notes on Using the Wireless Headphone Receiver

Never use in airplanes

The signal from the unit may interfere with the airplane's communications signal. Connect wired headphones (not supplied) to listen to the sound.

Do not put the unit or the wireless headphone receiver on a metal surface. Do not use a cassette tape which has metallic labels.

The metal surfaces may cause interference with reception or cause noise and distortion

Noise may occur in reception in the following cases:

• Using the receiver near computers, TV sets, broadcasting lowers, electric noise or in a car and train.

- If somebody use a radio or wireless WALKMAN near you.

For maximum performance we recommend the use of alkaline batteries.

When you do not use the wireless headphone receiver Release the POWER switch on the wireless headphone receiver to avoid exhausting the battery power. If you leave the wireless headphone receiver with the POWER switch ON The power is automatically turned off after about 3 hours

When connecting wired headphones to the Ω (headphones) jack on the main unit The sound may not be heard from the wireless headphone receiver: If the sound is distorted Replace the batteries both for the main unit and the wireless headphone receiver.

Maintenance

Noise

• Insert batteries into the compartments with correct polarity
• When the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, it avoid damage caused by batteries leakage and corrosion.
  When the batteries becomes weak
  The POWER indicator on the wireless headphone receiver will glow faintly and the playback sound will become distoned or unstable. In this case, replace all the batteries both in the main unit and in the wireless headphone receiver.
