SAFETY SUGGESTION

Suggestions below are very important for safety use of the refrigerator, please be sure to keep the following items.

WARNING

  1. Do not use the different electric voltage except one specified on the label of the refrigerator. Moreover, please use a wall socket independently.

  2. Do not damage a power cord and power supply plug. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Please consult with H

  3. Do not use refrigerator in a place from which combustible gas has leaked. Moreover, do not use an inflammable spray near the refrigerator. It sparks at the point of contact of electric parts, and becomes the cause of explosion or a fire.

  4. Do not store volatile chemicals such as ether, LP gas, thinner, etc. There is a risk of causing ignition explosion.

  5. Do not spill water on the inside or outside of a refrigerator. Electric insulation falls and it becomes the cause of a fire or an electric shock.

  6. Do not let children hang down the door. The refrigerator may fall down and children might be injured.

  7. When disposing of this refrigerator, remove the door gasket to protect little children from being caught inside the refrigerator.

  8. Do not repair or break up. When necessary please consult with a shop or a service agent.

  9. Make sure to connect grounding wire.

  10. Do not place anything on the refrigerator. It might fall down. The user might be injured when opens or closes the door.

  11. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

  12. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

  13. Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliances, unless they are the type recommended by the manufacturer.

  14. Keep ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.

CAUTION

  1. Do not store bottles in a freezer compartment or a chilled case. It will become the cause of making you injured, if a bottle froze and explode.
  2. Do not place food outside the shelves. A door will not be able to close or bottles catch and fall. It will become the cause of making you injured.
  3. Do not put bottles into a door pocket by force. When opening and closing a door, a pocket separates, and it becomes the cause of an injury.
  4. Do not eat or drink smelling or color changing food. It might be the cause of sickness.
  5. Do not touch the compressor or the electric parts behind the refrigerator. It might cause injuries and burns by heat.
  6. When carrying the refrigerator, please hold and carry the upper back side and a lower adjustor.

INSTALLATION

Installation

  1. Install the refrigerator on the strong and leveled floor.
  2. Please use this refrigerator between the room temperature of 10 ^ to 43 ^ . Sufficient performance may not be obtained, if the room temperature is too low or too high.
  3. Install the refrigerator away from the direct sunlight and other heat sources.
  4. Install the refrigerator at the low humidity and good air flow place.
  5. For having the refrigerator works properly, provide enough space of at least 30 cm over the top, 10 cm at rear and 5 cm at both sides for proper air circulation.
  6. Make the refrigerator stand horizontally by adjusting the leveling legs (adjustor).

Beginning

  1. Clean the interior of the refrigerator finely. It may become dirty with dust during transportation, or may become dirty with static electricity.
  2. Connect the power supply plug into an exclusive wall socket. You should insert a plug completely.
  3. After the inside is cold well, store food. It takes approximately 4 hours for being fully cold. It may take a half day if the outside temperature is too hot.

Food storage

  1. Keep the space among food. Placing too much food will make the inside of the refrigerator not to be cool enough.
  2. Store cool down food. If you store hot food, the inside temperature will rise which waste the eletric fee.
  3. Do not block the cold air vent. The cold air flowing will be ineffective.
  4. Wrapping food or putting it in the sealed case which it can keep its humidity and fresh.

OPERATION

☐ Temperature control

This refrigerator control its temperature automatically. Please set the dial to "MID" for normal use. However, supposing it is required, please adjust a temperature control dial as follows.

1.Freezer

HITACHI R-Z257 - 1.Freezer - 1

1 强 When storing neigther frozen food nor ice cream.
5\~6 中 For normal use.
9 弱 When making ice or freezing food quickly. Or, a surrounding temperature is low and the cold of the freezer compartment is weak.

- If the refrigerator is still not become cool enough, even the "Temperature Control Dial" of freezer compartment has been adjusted to "MAX" please turn "Temperature Control Dial" of refrigerator compartment to "MAX" also.

2. Refrigerator

强 When the food is too cold or frozen.

弱 When cooling food more coldly or quickly

  • Please return the dial to the position of "MID" after the "MAX" has been set. Food may be frozen if the "MAX" is set for a long time.
  • If set the dial to the "MIN" side for a long time, the temperature of the food in freezer compartment may rise.

Caution about forzen food in refrigerator compartment.

  • When you place the high moisture food and vegetables at the inner part of shelf nearby the cold air vent, they will be frozen. If it is possible, please do not place the high moisture food and vegetables at the inner part of the shelf nearby the cold air vent.
  • When food and vegetables become frozen, you can prevent them from being frozen by wrapping or putting them in the sealed case. If they are still frozen, please adjust the temperature by turning the temperature control dial to "MIN".

Freezer

1. Ice making

Request

  • Do not bend the twisted ice maker as shown in the picture or else it will be damaged.
  • Do not use the "Ice Cube Box" as an ice maker tray or else it will be damaged.

Refrigerator

1. Chiller case

● Meat and fish can be kept fresh before being frozen.

Caution

  • If you want to store meat or fish longer, please store them in the freezer compartment.
    ● Be careful, it might be frozen if that food has a lot of moisture.
  • When closing the refrigerator door, push the chilled case for close. If you close the door while the chilled case is still pulled out. The chilled case might be broken.

2. Egg pocket

- It can place eggs also turn the rear side to place the small pocket.

3. Crisper

  • Move the lever to the right to keep humidity in crisper, move the lever to the left to keep dryness.
  • For storing vegetables and fruits, please turn the lever to the right.

4. "MINUS-ZERO" panel

Caution

  • Please do not strike the "MINUS-ZERO" panel. The panel may be deformed.
  • Since the temperature of the "MINUS-ZERO" panel may reach 0 °C or less in the momentary time, please do not let the food touch the panel directly. In case of touching the panel, food may be frozen.
  • When the door is frequently opened and shut in high humidity environment, or when food is excessively packed in the refrigerator compartment, waterdrop may adhere on the panel surface insuch a case, please reduce the opening and shutting frequency of the door and store food keeping gap each other.

CLEANING

☐ Cleaning (Please clean the refrigerator once a month)

  1. Unplug the refrigerator.
  2. Remove all food.
  3. Wipe up the dirt (soft cloth or sponge).

  4. For wiping up hard dirt, using mild detergent to wipe up, then use cloth to wipe dirt up.
    ● Take out the cases, the shelves and the plastic parts. Clean them.
    ● Neatly clean the door gasket because it gets dirty easily.

  5. If moisture remains, wipe it with dry cloth.

  6. After cleaning, return the spare parts to their places.

  7. Check the power cord, a plug, and a wall socket has no cracks or scratches, and it inserts in a wall socket.

Request

● After unplugging, please wait for 5 minutes before plugging in again.
- If the cooking oil smears on the refrigerator, please wipe it off. (The plastic parts might be cracked).

☐ Replace spare parts.

  1. Replace lamp

  2. Unplug the refrigerator.

  3. Remove shelves.
  4. To take out the lamp cover, press the lock at the position of "A".
  5. Remove the lamp, tightly screw the new lamp.
  6. After replacing the lamp bulb, replace the lamp cover.

For purchase of the lamp, please contact the shop or the dealer.

Before you call for service, please check the following items.

The refrigerator does not get cold at all.● Is the refrigerator plugged in properly?● Check the fuse box for blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
The refrigerator does not get cold enough.● Is the refrigerator placed in the direct sunlight?● Is the refrigerator placed near heat source?● Is the temperature control dial set to “MIN”?● Has anything hot been placed in the refrigerator?● Is too much food stored?● Is the door being opened and closed too frequently?● Is the door being slightly open?
Food in the refrigerator compartment freezes.● Is the temperature control dial set to “MAX”?● Do you place the high moisture food and vegetables at the inner part of the shelf nearby the cold air vent? They will be frozen if being placed nearby the cold air vent.
Dew appears.Outside● When the high humidity outside and door gasket will have dew. Please wipe it up by dry cloth.
InsidePlease wipe it up with dry cloth and please check the details below.● Is the door closed firmly?● Is the door being opened and closed too frequently or opened for a long time?● Is it high humidity, is not it?
The inside is smelling.● Do you store odor food without wrapping it?
Sound is noisy.● Make sure the refrigerator is installed firmly.● Is the refrigerator touching the wall?

This is not out of order.

The surface of the refrigerator is hot.● The refrigerator contains the dew prevention and heat radiation pipes.Especially the back may be heated when starting up or if the door is frequently opened and closed.
If a door is shut, other doors may be opened.● The air duct of two compartment is connected. When close one of the door, another door may be opened by the wind pressure. This is a normal phenomenon.
Does it have any abnormal sound?● The sounds like water flowing and boiling water are sound of the cooling liquid (refrigerant).● A creaking sound comes from the storage compartment. It is the sound caused by friction of the parts due to temperature change.

放置環境

  1. 放置冰箱於平坦堅固的地面上。
  2. 請使用冰箱在環境溫度為10℃\~43℃,冰箱不能充分工作若環境溫度太高或太低。

  4. 放置冰箱於濕度較低及通風良好的場所。

開始使用

溫度控制

本冰箱設有自動溫度控制裝置,請調整溫度調節旋鈕的位置為“中”。若需要調整溫度,請調節溫控旋鈕如下。

1. 冷凍室

急速製冰或急速冷凍食品時,或外面溫度低,而冷凍室的冷度弱。

- 即使調至“強”位置,冷度還弱時,請調冷藏室的溫度調節旋鈕為“強”。

2.冷藏室

弱 食品冷卻過分或凍結時

中 正常使用。

強 讓食品冷卻更快更冷時

  • 調節旋鈕於“強”位置後,請調回旋鈕為“中”位置,因使用“強”位置過長時間時,食品會有凍結的可能。
  • 若溫控旋鈕調於“弱”位置長時間,存放在冷凍室的食品溫度有可能會上升。

食品凍結注意事項。

  • 貯放含水份較多的食品與蔬菜靠近棚架內壁的冷氣通道時,食品可能凍結,所以貯放含水份較多的食品與蔬菜時,請注意不要靠近棚架內壁的冷氣通道。
  • 以防食品與蔬菜凍結,請用保鮮膜或塑膠袋等封密,或放入密閉盒,若凍結現象仍存在,請調溫控旋鈕為“弱”。

回 冷凍室

請注意

  • 請勿扭曲製冰盒如圖或其他方法以免製冰盒損壞。
  • 請勿用儲冰盒製冰以免破裂。

回冷藏室

1. 冰溫保鮮盒

- 保持肉類與魚的新鮮而不凍結。

注意

  • 若需長期存放肉類或魚,請存放於冷凍室。

3. 果菜盒

  • 調整閥向右扭轉為保持果菜盒裏的濕度,向左扭轉為保持低濕度。
  • 貯放蔬菜與水果時,請將調整閥向右轉。

4. “MINUS-ZERO” 板

注意

  • 請勿將食品碰撞在冷藏室內壁裡的“MINUS-ZERO”板,以免面板扭曲變形。
    ● 此外,“MINUS-ZERO”板暫時低於0℃的狀態,貯放食品時請勿直接觸及冰箱內側,以免食品凍結。
  • 在高濕度的環境下常開啟冰箱門,或食品放得過緊密時,面板的表面上便有露珠,此時,盡量少開冰箱門,並將存放再冰箱的食品相互隔開。

清潔

回 清潔(每月清潔一次)

  1. 將冰箱電源插頭拔掉。
  2. 取出冰箱内所有食品。
  3. 擦除污垢(使用軟毛巾或海綿)。

  4. 擦除難以清潔的污垢時,用中性清潔劑擦除後,並用乾布擦淨。

  5. 取出抽屉、棚架以及塑膠部件來擦洗乾淨。
  6. 門襯條容易弄髒,請注意保持清潔。

  7. 若仍濕淋淋,請用乾布擦淨。

  8. 清潔完畢後將取出附加部品放回原位。
  9. 查看插頭與插座是否插好。

請注意

  • 拔下電源插頭後,請等至少五分鐘再接通電源。
  • 若烹調油沾附冰箱上,請擦除乾淨。(塑膠部品可能會破裂)

回 更换部品

1. 更換燈泡

  1. 將冰箱電源插頭拔掉。
  2. 取出棚架
  3. 取下燈罩,按位置 “A” 的鎖。
  4. 取下燈泡,旋緊新燈。
  5. 更換新燈後,把燈罩放回原位。

- 請聯絡經銷商。

冷度不足●放置位置是否受太陽直射?●冰箱是否太靠近爐子或暖氣?●溫度調節鈕是否轉在"弱"的位置?●是否有熱的東西放入冰箱內?●是否儲存東西太滿?●是否頻繁開啟冰箱門?●門是否沒關好?
冷藏室的食品凍結●溫度調節鈕是否轉在"強"的位置?●含水量較多的食品和蔬菜是否靠近棚架內壁的冷氣通道存放?放置靠近冷氣通道可能會凍結。
有露珠外部●空氣濕度較大時,冰箱外部可能出現露珠,用布擦乾即可。
內部請用乾布擦掉或檢查以下事項。●門是否緊閉?●是否頻繁開啟?●溫度是否高?
冰箱內有異味●有氣味的食品是否沒嚴密包住?
冰箱噪音大●確認冰箱已放置穩固。●冰箱是否接觸牆壁?
