IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ CAREFULLY AND STORE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE.
• This scale is designed to be used for weighing people.
• The scale can be used at home, in the office, etc. Do not use it for commercial purposes or outdoors.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the scale.
• Do not locate the scale on unstable surfaces, in the vicinity of an open fire or other sources of heat.
- Do not expose the scale to direct sunlight or high humidity, do not locate it in a excessively dusty environment, etc.
- Do not spray the scale with water or any other liquid or submerge it in water or any another liquid.
- Do not step on the scale with wet feet. Otherwise there is a danger of slipping.
• Do not jump on the scale. This could damage it.
• We do not recommend the use of rechargeable batteries for powering the scale.
- If you decide not to use the scale for an extended period of time, take out the batteries. If the batteries were to leak into the inner area of the scale then this could result in irreparable damage.
- Do not repair the scale yourself or make any adjustments to it. Have all repairs or adjustments performed at an authorised service centre. Tampering with the product during the warranty period may void the warranty.

INSTALLING AND REPLACING BATTERIES
- This scale comes with two type CR 2032 (2 × 3 V) batteries. Before first use, remove the insulation tape from compartment A④ and A⑥. The tape is there to prevent the batteries from discharging before the appliance reaches the consumer.
- If the battery in the removable unit A① / in the scale is almost flat, the display will show h-lo (if the battery in the display unit is weak) or b-lo (if the battery in the scale is weak). If the battery in the removable unit A① or in the scale is completely flat, the display will not turn on. Replace the batteries in the following manner. Take out the used battery and insert a new battery of the same type in its place. When inserting a battery, make sure that you maintain the correct polarity, which is marked in the battery compartment A④ and A⑥.

SETTING THE WEIGHT UNITS
- The weight unit selection switch C① is located in the battery compartment A④. This switch C① makes it possible to select either the metric (kilogram) or imperial (pound) unit of weight.

Weight unit selection switch
- Set the weight unit in the following way. Take the removable unit A① off the standing platform A③. Open the battery compartment cover A④. Step on the scale to activate the display of the removable unit A①. Stand still and wait a few seconds for the weighing process to finish. You weight will flash 3 times. Then you can use switch C① to change the weight unit. After finishing setting up the weight units, step off the scale and close the battery compartment cover A④.

MEASURING BODY WEIGHT
1) Place the scale on an even, hard floor. Do not place it on a carpet or any other soft surface, otherwise the weighing result may be inaccurate.
2) Decide whether you will leave the removable unit A① attached to the standing platform A③ or if you will hold it in your hand. If you are going to hold the removable unit A① in your hand, make sure that the infrared signal receiver A⑤ is not covered.

The scale is equipped with an Auto-On function, i.e. it will automatically turn on and commence measuring when you step on the standing platform A③. Within a few seconds your measured weight will stabilise on the display. The resulting value will flash 3 times and then remain lit. The scale will shut down automatically when you step off or after several seconds of inactivity.
OVERLOAD INDICATOR
- If the scale is overloaded, Err will appear on the display. Please step off the scale to prevent damaging it.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- If the scale does not automatically turn on after stepping on the standing platform A③, replace the batteries according to the instructions in chapter Installing and replacing batteries.
- If Err appears on the display or the scale automatically turns off after several seconds of inactivity, remove the batteries from compartments A④ and A⑥. Put the batteries back in after a few seconds. If the standard functions of the scale are not restored, please contact an authorised service centre.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- To clean the scale, you can use a soft cloth lightly dampened in a solution of kitchen detergent and water. While cleaning, make sure that water does not enter into the display or the battery compartments A④ and A⑥. Thoroughly dry the surface that you wiped with the damp wiping cloth.
- When cleaning, do not use abrasive cleaning products, petrol, solvents or thinners.
