Luminos Group 2-3 Booster Seat
Thank you for purchasing this Group 2-3 forward facing booster seat. If you are not completely satisfied with the booster seat or would like to change any accessory or obtain any help, please contact your manufacturer (details on the back of this guide).
Please Note: Only suitable for use in vehicles fitted with a 3 point retractable safety belt approved to ECE R16 or equivalent standard.
Storage of the user guide
It is most important that these instructions remain with the booster seat at all times. You can store these instructions in the pocket provided on the underneath of the seat cover of your Group 2-3 booster seat (E).

ALWAYS GIVE PREFERENCE TO USING THE REAR SEATS OF YOUR VEHICLE EVEN IF YOUR HIGHWAY CODE PERMITS THE USE ON THE FRONT SEAT. CHECK YOUR HIGHWAY CODE AS THIS REGULATION MAY VARY ACCORDING TO THE COUNTRY. CHECK THE VEHICLE MANUAL FOR ADVICE ON FITTING YOUR CAR SEAT IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. AIRBAGS CAN CAUSE INJURY. DO NOT USE THIS CHILD SEAT ON A PASSENGER SEAT FITTED WITH A FRONTAL AIRBAG.

Important Safety Instructions
Keep these instructions with the car seat in case you need to refer to them again in the future. Failure to follow these instructions may affect your child's safety.
Your car seat must be positioned and installed so that, under normal vehicle usage conditions, no part can become jammed under or between any moveable seat or in the vehicle door.
Always replace the booster seat after any accident in case of any unseen damage.
Do not modify or add to your car seat in any way without the approval of a competent authority or the manufacturer, as this will void any warranty.
Shade your booster seat from sunlight to avoid hot items causing injury to your child.
Do not leave your child unattended while in the booster seat and in the vehicle.
Make sure there is no loose luggage or other large objects that are likely to cause injuries in the event of an accident. These may cause injury to other occupants. Always secure loose items.

Do not use the booster seat without the seat cover.
Do not replace the seat cover with any cover other than the one recommended by the manufacturer, as it directly influences the safety performance of the booster seat.
Ensure the adult seat belt is always connected even when not in use.
Store your booster seat in the rear boot storage area when your child is not in the car seat. An unsecured booster seat can cause injuries in the event of a collision.
If you are in any doubt about any part of the installation or proper use of your car seat, please contact the manufacturer of the car seat.
Check and replace the batteries periodically in case of leakage.
Preparing your Car Seat for use
Before using your new booster seat it is important to understand fully how to install your car seat properly, secure your child correctly and familiarize yourself with the features and functions of the seat.
Please take the time to read and understand these instructions fully. This is best done with the seat in front of you.
Please always read the safety warnings before using the seat.

Installation of your Car Seat
The seat can be used for a child of 3 - 4 years to 12 years approximately (15 to 36 kg) securing the child with the adult seat belt.
Please Note: Your car seat is designed to fit only with a 3 point lap and diagonal seat belt and must not at any time be fitted using only a 2 point lap belt (2).
Preparing your Car Seat for Installation
Important! Before installing the car seat check that the buckle of the adult seat belt is not positioned so that it reaches under the armrest of the car seat. If this is the case, try another seat or contact the manufacturer for advice.
Place the car seat against the backrest of the vehicle seat (1).
Position your child sitting upright on the seat, extract the adult seat belt and pass it across the front of the child.

Pass the lap section of the adult seat belt over the child's lap and under the armrest on both sides of the seat. Connect the adult belt connector tongue to the seat belt buckle.
Ensure that on the buckle side the lap strap goes under the armrest and the diagonal strap of the adult seat belt passes over the armrest (2).
To remove your child from the car seat, simply unbuckle the seat belt and place it at the side of the car seat.
Operating the Lights in the Armrests
This booster seat has lights in the armrests to provide visibility in hours of darkness.
To turn the lights on: Lift the front section of the armrest up (3).
To turn the lights off: Push the front section of the armrest down, making sure they click into place (4).

Final Checklist
However safe a child seat is, however well built it is, your child's safety depends on you carrying out the following checks before every journey.
- Check the car seat is facing forwards in the vehicle and in the direction of travel (1).
- Check the adult seat belt is fitted correctly (2).
- Check the vehicle seat belt is not twisted or slack.
Important! Misusing your child seat will reduce the protection and safety you offer your child.
Maintenance Advice
The car seat cover is removable. In case of light staining, clean using a damp cloth or soapy water. The cover can be removed completely and hand washed up to 30°C.

Removing the Cover
Unhook the elastic ties from the front, side and rear of the car seat, underneath the seat cover (5). The seat cover should now be separate from the plastic seat shell.
Important! Make sure the instruction book is removed from the pocket before washing.

Replacing the batteries
The lights in the armrests of your booster seat require 3 AA batteries.
To replace the batteries: Turn the car seat over, then remove the hatch on the base of the booster seat using a screw driver (6).
Additional Information
This car seat is not approved for use on aircraft. For more information contact the airline.
To dispose of your car seat safely always render the seat unusable.
Notice
This car seat is a "Universal" child restraint system. It has been approved in accordance with regulation ECE R44/04, and is suitable for general use in vehicles and is compatible with the majority of vehicle seats.
- This child restraint is likely to fit if the vehicle manufacturer states that the vehicle approval specifies suitability for "Universal" child restraint systems.
- This restraint system is classified as "Universal" in accordance with the strictest approval criteria, whereas earlier models do not correspond to these new provisions.
- It can only be installed in vehicles with 3-point static or retractable seat belts that have been approved compliant with the UN/ECE No.16 or other equivalent standards.
If in doubt, contact the manufacturer of the restraint system.
