Important notifications
- You will need to download the CoolMIR software on your BlackBerry in order to use the CoolMIR keyboard.
- Do NOT fold the keyboard, doing so could damage the unit. When transporting the CoolMIR in it's carrying pouch make certain to roll it loosely. The one-year warranty does not cover damage due to folding or misuse. For long-term storage, please lay the keyboard flat.
- Please CHARGE the CoolMIR keyboard for at least TWO HOURS before first use using the BlackBerry charger cable.
- Make sure the CoolMIR software is TURNED ON before you connect the keyboard.

Quick CoolMIR Software Installation Guide
This is for BlackBerry handheld software version 4.2.1 and BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) 4.1 and above users. There are two methods for installing the CoolMIR software, OTA or using the BlackBerry Desktop manager.
Download over the air (OTA)

From your BlackBerry "Home" screen, select your "Internet Browser" or "BlackBerry Browser" and go to www.man-machine.com/ota.htm.

Choose the latest driver for your device and select Get Link.
- Follow the instruction on the BlackBerry to download the software.
- Go to the main BlackBerry screen, locate and click the keyboard icon.
- Click View to see the changed application permission for the keystroke injection that is required for the keyboard to work.
- Press the BlackBerry menu key (on the left side of the trackball) and click save.
- To turn the CoolMIR software on, locate and click the icon for the CoolMIR. Highlight and click the Turn CoolMIR On button. The status filed should be changed to CoolMIR is ON.
- Plug the CoolMIR keyboard Mini USB cable or Micro USB adapter into your handheld USB port.
- Turn the keyboard on by pressing and holding the button on the left bottom side of the keyboard for one second. You will see a green light on the keyboard.
- If your BlackBerry is password protected, the green light on the keyboard will blink and a screen will pop up on the BlackBerry asking for your password. Type your BlackBerry password using the BlackBerry built in keyboard and press enter.
- Press the Enter key on the keyboard to complete the authentication process. The blinking green light should turn in to a steady green.
- You can now use your CoolMIR keyboard.
Download via a cable using your BlackBerry's Desktop Manager
Go to www.man-machine.com/coolmir.htm and download the latest CoolMIR driver and the user manual. Unzip the file and save it on your computer. Refer to the "Installation Guide" in the user manual for step-by-step instruction on how to install the software.
