1.1 Condition of the machine when supplied and unpacking

Fini Flash 24 - Condition of the machine when supplied and unpacking - 1

All compressors are delivered in a cardboard box and are protected with stiffener so as to allow a very easy handling and transport.

Before accepting the delivery, check all machine parts and accessories are included and for the perfect integrity of the machine. Possible objections will not be accepted after delivery acceptance.

1.2 Package disposal

We recommend the package be kept so that it can be used again in case the compressor is moved. Keep it for the warranty period at least. If needed, it will be easier and safer to pack and send it to the service center. After this period, deliver the package to the authorized organization for its disposal.

1.3 Description of machine and standard equipment

Fini Flash 24 - Description of machine and standard equipment - 1

  • This compressor belongs to the OILLESS series. Requiring no lubrication, these compressors are extremely user-friendly and their routine maintenance requirements are limited to a minimum of very simple operations. Another advantage is that - unlike lubricated machines - these compressors will operate faultlessly even when installed on an inclined plane.

Fini Flash 24 - Description of machine and standard equipment - 2

This specific compressor runs on direct current and is not designed for connection to normal a.c. mains.

  • Your compressor comes with :

1) operating and maintenance instructions
2) power cables and clamps for connection to power source.

1.4 Intended purpose

Fini Flash 24 - Intended purpose - 1

This compressor has been designed and manufactured for use outside common work places. It was conceived for those users who may need a powerful source of compressed air at the most varied locations: on a power boat, in automobile/camper, and wherever no mains are available.

The compressor is designed to mount many different air tools. Please note that the compressor is designed for use in emergency situations and comes without tank, so that it is advisable not use it with any tools that require a prolonged supply of air (for instance air brushes). Read the relevant instructions for information about how to use this type of tools properly.

1.5 General safety information

Fini Flash 24 - General safety information - 1

Always read carefully this manual before performing any operation. This machine has been designed and realized to be used as described below. Any other use is not allowed. The Manufacturer is not responsible for any use other than the intended use or not in compliance with the instructions mentioned in this manual.

1.6 What should be done

Fini Flash 24 - What should be done - 1

  • Understand how to stop the compressor at once and become familiar with the use of all controls.
  • Before any operation unplug the compressor so as to avoid any accidental compressor start.
  • After any maintenance operation make sure all the disassembled parts are properly assembled.
  • To have a safe operation, make all checks mentioned in the machine "start-up" chapter

before starting the compressor.

  • Keep children and animals away from the working area, so as to avoid any injury caused by devices connected to the compressor.
  • Read carefully all instructions for the used accessories.

1.7 What should never be done

Fini Flash 24 - What should never be done - 1

  • Never place inflammable nylon or cloth objects near or/and on the compressor.
  • Never use the compressor if the power cable is faulty or the connection is not safe.

  • Never allow anyone to operate the compressor without giving him/her proper instructions

  • Never run the compressor without air filter.

  • Never aim the air jet either at people or animals.
  • Never exceed the recommended operating pressure for the used accessory.
  • Never try to make the compressor working using the normal a.c. mains.

2. SETTING-UP

2.1 Location

Fini Flash 24 - Location - 1

This machine can even work on inclined plane with slopings over 15^ (fig. 4).

For a longer machine life and proper operation we recommend the following conditions be always observed:

1.Low percentage of fine dust.
2.Leave at least 20~cm between the machine and any object which might obstacle a proper air flow (fig. 5) and therefore reduce ventilation and cooling.
3.Do not position the compressor on object which can move or wich are not really steable (ei. car's bonnet with motor runnig).

2.2 Electric connection

Fini Flash 24 - Electric connection - 1

The compressor is only released for delivered after successfully completing a functional test at the Headquarters. This ensures that the compressor is ready for use at the time of purchase.

  • Proper electric connection is critical. Before performing any operation, it is mandatory to make sure that the power supply voltage is compatible with the rating stated on the compressor sticker (or on the sticker reproduced on the cover of these instructions), and that the compressor switch (C) is in the (0) position (fig.3).
  • Once you have ascertained that voltage is compatible, you may perform the connection:

connect the compressor clamps to the battery terminals. Be sure to connect each clamp to the terminal with the same polarity (RED cable (+) - BLACK cable (-)) (fig.1), and remember to connect the red cable (+) first and the black one (-) last.

IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO USE ANY KIND OF EXTENSIONS OR TO TAMPER WITH OR ANYHOW ALTER THE POWER SUPPLY CABLES. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS RULE MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM OF THE MACHINE OR INJURY TO PEOPLE.

If the power source is too far from the location where you need to place the compressor, fit an extension to the spiral hose feeding air to the tool. Never fit an extension to the power cables.

3. START-UP

3.1 How to start up the compressor and set pressure

Once you have performed all connections properly, your compressor is ready for use (fig.1):

  • connect the spiral tube to the quick cock (A) and set the tool for operation,
  • set the pressure regulator (B) to the value specified in the tool instructions,
  • start the compressor using switch (C).

When you wish to stop the compressor, do not disconnect the power cables. Always use the switch (C) to power off, and remember to set the pressure regulator back to 0.

The power clamps may only be removed from the power source after turning the switch (C) to (0) (remember to disconnect the red cable (+) first and the black cable (-) last). Be sure to avoid any contact between the two clamps while removing them.

3.2 Battery capacity

Fini Flash 24 - Battery capacity - 1

Be careful to check how long you have been using the compressor. If you are using it, outdoors connected to a battery, the battery might run down.

1) Connection to the battery of an automobile, a camper or a boat: it might be convenient to keep the engine/motor running while using the compressor, so the battery will be keep charging.
2) Connection to a battery other than that of a motor vehicle/power craft: common batteries have limited capacity and it might be convenient to check even better on compressor operating time, otherwise the battery will run flat.

4. MAINTENANCE

4.1 Warning

Fini Flash 24 - Warning - 1

In order to keep your compressor in good working conditions we recommend you to perform periodical servicing operations.

Before performing any maintenance operation, switch off the compressor and make all air in the tank release.

4.2 Cleaning the suction filter (every month)

  • Remove the filter cover and take out the filtering element (Fig. 2).
  • Rinse the filtering element with water and soap. Dry properly before re-fitting.

Do not operate the compressor without the suction filter fitted, as foreign bodies or dust could seriously damage the inside components.

4.3 Later maintenance

  • Every 6 months it is recommended to clean all compressor finned parts for an efficient cooling system and therefore a higher machine performance.
    Each year
    Change the filtering element.
    Each two years
Check and clean delivery and suction valves.

4.4 Technical service information

USE ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS ONLY AVAILABLE AT AUTHORIZATIONED SERVICE CENTERS.

4. MAINTENANCE

Non-compliance with this instruction makes warranty null and void, apart from putting both machine and operator into possible dangers.

Always mention your compressor model, type, serial number and data either on the compressor identification plate or on the cover page of this manual when applying for a technical service.
