How to load paper in cassette 1?

Pull out the cassette, adjust the width guides to the paper size, load the paper without exceeding the capacity mark, then reinsert the cassette. The paper size and media type must be set in the paper settings.

How to replace the toner cartridge?

Open the front cover, unlock the used cartridge by turning the lever, remove it, insert the new cartridge aligning the tabs, lock the lever and close the cover. Refer to the Toner Cartridge Replacement section (page 10-3).

How to clear a paper jam?

Follow the screen instructions to locate the jam. Open the indicated covers (rear cover, fuser unit cover, etc.) and gently remove the jammed paper. Avoid tearing pieces. Refer to Clearing Paper Jams (page 10-26).

How to configure the machine's IP address?

Press [Menu] > [Network] > [TCP/IP Config] > [IPv4 Settings]. Set DHCP to Off, then manually enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. Restart the network after changes.

What to do if an error message appears?

Refer to the Responding to Messages section (page 10-13) of the manual to identify the message and follow troubleshooting procedures. Common errors include 'Paper jam', 'Toner empty', or 'Cover open'.

How to use private print?

From the print driver, select the 'Private Print' option in the job box. The document is stored on the machine. To print it, go to [Job Box] > [Private/Stored] and select the job.

How to save toner?

Enable EcoPrint mode in the print settings. This makes prints lighter and consumes less toner. You can also use duplex mode to reduce paper consumption.

How to connect the machine to a wireless network?

Install the optional wireless network interface kit. Use the control panel: [Menu] > [Optional Network] > [Wireless Network]. Choose a method: network selection, push button (WPS), or PIN code.

How to access the machine remotely?

Use Command Center RX via a Web browser. Enter the machine's IP address or host name. Log in with username 'Admin' and password 'Admin' to configure all settings.

How to securely erase data?

Enable the Data Erase function in the system menu: [Menu] > [Security] > [Data Erase]. You can also overwrite data using the optional Data Security Kit. Refer to the corresponding guide.

Monotype Imaging License Agreement

1 Software shall mean the digitally encoded, machine readable, scalable outline data as encoded in a special format as well as the UFST Software.
2 You agree to accept a non-exclusive license to use the Software to reproduce and display weights, styles and versions of letters, numerals, characters and symbols (Typefaces) solely for your own customary business or personal purposes at the address stated on the registration card you return to Monotype Imaging. Under the terms of this License Agreement, you have the right to use the Fonts on up to three printers. If you need to have access to the fonts on more than three printers, you need to acquire a multiuser license agreement which can be obtained from Monotype Imaging.
