Please read and comply with these original instructions prior to the initial operation of your appliance and store them for later use or subsequent owners.
Proper use
This vacuum cleaner is meant for use in private households and not for commercial purposes.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages that may occur on account of improper use or wrong operations.
Use the vacuum cleaner only with:
- Original textile filter.
– Original spare parts, accessories or special accessories.
The vacuum cleaner is not suitable for:
– to suck in moist or liquid substances, easily inflammable or explosive substances and gases.
– to suck in substances that are harmful for health, have sharp edges, are hot or burning.
– for sucking in human beings or animals. Please ensure that you do not suck in small living creatures (such as flies, spiders, etc.).
– to vacuum ashes and soot. If you wish to do so, please use the separator (order no. 2.863-139.0).
Safety instructions
- This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or are instructed by these persons on the use of the device. Children should be supervised, to ensure that they do not play with the device.
- Keep packaging film away from children
- risk of suffocation!
- Switch the appliance off after every use and prior to every cleaning/maintenance procedure.
– Risk of fire. Do not vacuum up any burning or glowing objects. - The appliance may not be used in areas where a risk of explosion is present.
- In case of extended downtimes, switch the appliance off at the main switch / appliance switch or remove the mains plug.
Electrical connection
The appliance may only be connected to alternating current. The voltage must correspond with the type plate on the appliance.
⚠️Risk of electric shock
Never touch the mains plug and the socket with wet hands.
Always hold the plug rather than the cable when disconnecting the power cord.
Check the power cord with mains plug for damage before every use. If the power cord is damaged, please arrange immediately for the exchange by an authorised customer service or a skilled electrician.
Caution
■ Only vacuum using the inserted filter basket and textile filter.
■ Only vacuum while the foam filter is installed.
■ Avoid vacuum cleaning using nozzle or suction tubes close to the head. There is risk of injury!
■ Protect the appliance against external weather, humidity and heat sources.

Electronic Protection
The vacuum cleaner is protected against static charge of the container.
Start up

→ Rotate both container lids by 180°.
→ Remove the motor casing and take accessories out of the container.

→ Turn the container, press in the swivel casters in the openings at the base of the container till the end-point.

→ Install the textile filter on the filter basket.
→ Insert the filter basket with the textile filter.

→ Put the appliance head onto the container and lock the container locks.

→ Slide the suction hose into the connection, it will lock into place.
→ Connect accessories.

→ Connect the mains plug and turn on the appliance.
Dry vacuum cleaning
△Always operate the vacuum cleaner with the filter basket, textile filter and foam filter installed!

Vacuuming hard surfaces:
→ Use your foot to press the reversing switch of the floor nozzle. The brush strips at the bottom of the floor nozzle are extended.

Vacuuming carpeted floors:
→ Use your foot to press the reversing switch of the floor nozzle. The brush strips at the bottom of the floor nozzle are retracted.
Blowing function
Cleaning hard to reach locations or, where vacuuming is not possible, like removing leaves from a gravel bed.

→ Connect connection hose. Set the desired blower performance using the slider to regulate the blower function.
→ Switch the vacuum cleaner to Position I and start working.
Finish operation
→ Turn off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug.

→ Remove the filter basket with the textile filter.
→ Knock the dirt off of the textile filter.
→ Empty the container
Storing the Appliance
→ Put the appliance head onto the container and lock it.

→ Place the accessories in the appropriate compartments at the appliance and store the appliance in a dry room.
Maintenance and care
⚠️Risk of injury
Always switch off the appliance and pull out the mains plug before care and maintenance work.
Cleaning the device
Caution
Do not use abrasives, glass or universal cleaners! Never immerse the appliance in water.
→ Clean the appliance and accessory parts made of plastic with a commercial plastic cleaner.
→ Rinse the container and accessories with water as needed and let them dry prior to further use.
Clean the bottom of the appliance head with a dry cloth.
If it is too dirty:

→ Remove the foam filter, rinse under running water and let it dry.
Note: Install a dry foam filter prior to the next work process.
General notes
Environmental protection

The packaging material can be recycled. Please do not place the package to the ordinary refuse for disposal, but ge for the proper recycling.

Old appliances contain valuable materials that can be recycled. Please arrange for the proper recycling of old
appliances. Please dispose your old appliances using appropriate collection systems.

Disposing of textile and foam filters
Textile and foam filters are made from environment-friendly materials.
They can therefore be disposed off through the normal household garbage provided you have not sucked in substances that are not permitted to be thrown into household garbage.
Warranty
The terms of the guarantee applicable in each country have been published by our respective national distributors. We will repair possible faults on your unit free of charge within the warranty period, insofar as the faults are caused by material defects or defective workmanship. Guarantee claims should be addressed to your dealer or the nearest authorized customer service centre, and supported by documentary evidence of purchase.
