Features

Deodorizer / डिओडोराइज़र

By using a catalyst, deodorizing performance is guaranteed. उत्त्रोरक का प्रयोग करने से गन्ध दूर करने की क्षमता निश्चित हो जाती है।
Unpleasant odor of food in fresh food compartment is deodorized with no harm to you and the food. प्रैश फूड कम्पार्टमेंट में से अच्छी न लगने वाली गन्ध को निकालने पर आपको और आपके खाने को कोई नुकसान नहीं होता।
When storing food with a strong odor, wrap it or store it in a container with a lid because odor may be passed on to other foods.

जब तेज गन्ध वाला खाद्य पदार्थ रेफ्रिजरेटर में रखते हैं तो उसे लपेट लें या किसी ढक्कनदार डिब्बे में रख लें क्यौकि वह गन्ध दूसरे खाद्य पदार्थों में भी प्रवेश कर सकती है।

Don't try to remove the deodorizer cover, as you may break the catalyst.

Door Cooling / डोर कूलिंग

Cool air vent is placed on the refrigerator door to provide cool air to the Door Shelves.

Cool air vent रेफ्रिजरेटर के दरवाजे के ऊपर लगाई जाती है जिससे डोर शैल्प्ज को ठंडी हवा मिलती रहे।

If foreign substances enter the cool air vent while cleaning, efficiency will be lowered. In addition, if gasket is damaged, efficiency may be lowered due to the escape of cool air. So care should be taken during cleaning.

सफाई करते समय यदि बाहरी गन्दगी बववस पत अमदज में प्रवेश करती है तो रेफ्रिजरेटर की क्षमता कम हो जाएगी। इसके अतिरिक्त, यदि गैसकट खराब हो जाता है तो ठंडी ह्वा निकल जाने से क्षमता कम हो जाएगी। इसलिए सफाई के दौरान सावधानी बरतें।

Green Ion Door Cooling (Optional) / ग्रीन आयन डोर कूलिंग (एच्छिक)

The green catechins deodorizer in the duct cover purifies the air and helps stored foods remain fresh longer.

Chiller Compartment / चिलर कम्पार्टमेंट

When the door is opened, the warmer air doesn't influence the cooling of chiller compartment. So you can keep food fresher in it.

Installation

Refrigerator should be located properly in ventilated area.

Levelling of refrigerator should be done with front leg. Refrigerator should be levelled with front to back inclination for base.

Identification of Controls

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

- Refrigerator & Freezer compartment temperatures are controlled by Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob

and Freezer Temp. Control Knob respectively.

रेफ्रिजरेटर और प्रीजर कम्पार्टमेंट का तापमान क्रमश:

रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियन्त्रक नोब एवं फ्रीजर ताप नियन्त्रक

नोब के द्वारा नियन्त्रित किया जाता है।

• Freezer Temp. Control - 1\~6

Setting at "6", the freezer compartment becomes coldest. But the refrigerator compartment becomes warmer because less cold air flows into the refrigerator compartment.

फ्रीजर ताप नियन्त्रक - 1\~6

"6" पर सैट करने पर फ्रीजर कम्पार्टमेंट में अधिकतम ठंडक होती है। लेकिन रेफ्रिजरेटर कम्पार्टमेंट गर्म हो जाता है क्योंकि रेफ्रिजरेटर कम्पार्टमेंट में कम ठंडी हवा प्रवाहित होती है।

- If you keep a lot of foods in the freezer or open its door frequently, Freezer Compartment will become warmer. In this case, set the Freezer Temp. Control dial between 5 and 6 to cool it. Return the Freezer Temp. Control dial to the original position after usage.

यदि आप फ्रीजर में अधिकतम पदार्थ रखते हैं या उसके दरवाजे को बार-बार खोलते हैं, फ्रीजर कम्पार्टमेंट गर्म हो जाता है। इस स्थिति में ठंडा करने के लिए फ्रीजर ताप नियन्त्रक को 5 और 6 के मध्य घुमाएं। इस्तेमाल करने के बाद फ्रीजर ताप नियन्त्रक को वापस पहली स्थिति में घुमाएं।

- Best position for regular usage will be at Normal (at 4).

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

- Initially set the Refrigerator Temp. Control Med/normal and the Freezer Temp. Control at Normal Leave it operating for 8 hours to stabilize.

प्रारम्भ में रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियन्त्रक को Med/ Normal पर और फ्रीजर ताप नियन्त्रक को Normal पर सैट करें। स्थिरता प्रा त करने के इसे 8 घंटे तक चलता रहने दें।

Operating Procedure

DEFROSTING

Defrosting takes place automatically.

The defrosted water flows down to the evaporating tray which is located in the lower back side of the refrigerator and is evaporated automatically.

Normal Type / नॉर्मल टाइप

To make ice cubes, fill the ice tray with water till the water level mark and place it on the Ice cube box. Then insert the ice cubes box in the freezer compartment.

To remove ice cubes, hold the tray at its ends and twist gently, ice cubes fall automatically.

Twist 'N' Serve Type / टिवस्त "एन" सर्व टाइप

To make ice cubes, fill the ice tray with water and insert in its position. आइस क्यूब्स बनाने के लिए आइस टे को पानी से भरें और उसे उसकी रिथिति में रखें।

To remove ice cubes, hold the knob of the tray and turn gently. Then, ice cubes drop in the Bank Ice. आइस क्यूब्स निकालने के लिए टे की नोब को पकड़े और धीरे से घुमाएं। फिर आइस क्यूब्स बैंक आइस में गिर पड़ेगी।

In case of a shelf / शैल्फ के मामले में To place a shelf at a higher position, remove the ice cube box, and place the shelf, and then replace the ice cube box. शैल्फ को उच्च स्थिति में रखने के लिए, आइस क्यूब बाक्स हटाएं और शैल्फ को रखें और फिर आइस क्यूब बाक्स को बदल दें।

Instruction for Bank Ice / बैंक आइस के लिए निर्देश

Use Bank Ice Only To Store Ice Cubes. Do Make Ice In It, As It May Break. बैंक आइस सिफर्क आइस क्यूल्स रखने के लिए इस्तेमाल करें। इसमें बर्फ न जामएं। क्योंकि यह टूट सकता है।

Lamp Replacement

Unplug the power cord from the outlet. पावर स लाई कोर्ड को आउटलैट से बाहर निकाल लें।

Remove refrigerator shelves.

रेफ्रिजरेटर शैल्प्ज को हटा दें।

To remove the lamp cover, insert a slotted driver at the one of under hole of the lamp cover and pull it out forwards.

लैम्प कवर हटाने के लिए लैम्प कवर के नीचे की तरफ वाले सुराख में दरार वाले पेचकश को डालें और बाहर की तरफ खीचें।

Rotate the lamp counterclockwise.

लैम्प को घड़ी की विपरीत दिशा में घुमाएं।

Assemble in reverse order of disassembly. Replacement bulb must be the same specification as original.

लैम्प के बिखरे हुए हिस्सों को विपरीत क्रम में जोड़ें। बल्ब को बदलने की वही प्रारम्भिक प्रक्रिया रहनी चाहिए।

How to get good results

Cover or wrap all foods that you put into your refrigerator with polythene or aluminium foil, preventing the mixing of flavours and to keep the food from drying.

Don't keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator. This will result in an increased temperature and increase in power consumption.

Close the door properly, make sure that there is no gap between the gasket and the cabinet of your LG refrigerator.

It is recommended to use Voltage Stabilizer (0.5KVA) if power fluctuations are frequent and out of specified voltage range (160-260V), Stabilizer usage increases the refrigerator life.

Suggestions

Cleaning

Cleaning of Interior Parts is recommended. Wash all compartments with a mild baking soda solution, then rinse and dry the compartment. Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or detergent to clean the exterior finish of your refrigerator. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.

सफाई

सभी आन्तरिक भागों की सफाई की सलाह दी जाती है। सोडा के घोल से सभी भागों को धोएं तथा साफ कपड़े से पाँछ कर सुखा लें। रेफ्रिजरेटर की बाहरी सफाई के लिए मन्द साबुन या डिटर्जट के गुनगुने घोल का प्रयोग करें। फिर साफ—सुथरे एवं भीगे हुए कपड़े से पाँछकर सुखाएं।

During Vacations

During average length vacations, you will probably find it best to leave the refrigerator in operation. Place freezable items in freezer for longer life. When you plan to be away for an extended period, remove all food, disconnect the power cord, clean the interior thoroughly, and leave each door OPEN to prevent odour formation. To operate again, let the refrigerator run for 6-8 hrs. for stabilization.

Shifting

While shifting the refrigerator, two people should carry it for its safety. Fasten the door with tape or lock to prevent opening of the refrigerator.

Do Not Use An Extension Cord

If possible, connect the refrigerator to its own individual electrical outlet to prevent it and other appliances or household lights from causing an overload and intermittent tripping.

Power Cord Replacement

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly from the manufacturer or its authorised service agent.

Do not modify or extend the Power Cord length. It will cause electric shock or fire.

VERY DANGEROUS ATTRACTION

An empty refrigerator can be a dangerous attraction to children. Remove gaskets, latches, lids or the entire door from your unused appliance, or take some other action to make it harmless.

This appliance must be grounded (earthed). DON'T WAIT! DO IT NOW!

About Grounding(earthing)

In the event of an electric short circuit, grounding (earthing) reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.

In order to prevent possible electric shock, this appliance must be grounded.

Improper use of the grounding plug can result in an electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if you have doubts on whether the appliance is properly grounded.

Disposal

Refrigerator not to be disposed by burning as the insulation blowing gas is highly flammable. It can be handed over to licensed hazardous waste disposal facility for safe disposal.

Type of Complaint Probable Cause		Remedy
1. Refrigerator does not work.	-House fuse blown	Call an electrician and get it corrected.
	-Power Supply Off.	Check that the refrigerator main supply plug is connected to the wall socket and that the supply is on. Check that the fuse is intact in he supply line.
	-Stabilizer not working properly	Please plug power cord of refrigerator directly in the wall socket and then check, if it works then get the stabilizer checked by Stabilizer Repairing Centre.
2. Refrigerator attempts to start, does not operate.	-Low Voltage.	Install a line-correcting transformer in the mains, or a Voltage Stabilizer.
3. Refrigerator compartment - Low Cooling	-Restriction of cold air circulation.	Provide space in between the dishes. If the shelves are covered with cloth or polythene, remove it.
	-Improper thermostat setting of Freezer Temp. Control / Refrigerator Temp. Control.	Set the Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob to colder (Max 5 ~7) position. Freezer Temp. Control Knob to be adjusted accordingly. At position 9 Freezer will be coldest.
	-Entry of hot air.	Opening and closing of the doors too often will result in hot air from outside rushing into the refrigerator causing the temperature to go up. Reduce the frequency of opening of the doors.
	-Storing hot foods.	Avoid storing hot foods in the refrigerator, cool them to room temperature before placing them inside the refrigerator.
4. Formation of water drops on exterior of refrigerator.	-High humidity during monsoon season.	During the monsoon, when the humidity in the atmosphere reaches around 90% water droplets may form around the sides of the refrigerator cabinet, especially the top portion. This moisture should be wiped off periodically. Contact our serviceman to check the door seal or proper and uniform contact with the cabinet.
5. Refrigerator Compartment — Overcooling	-Incorrect setting of Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob.	Lower the setting (1~3) of Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob to make the Refrigerator Compartment warmer.
6. Smell	-Improper covering and wrapping of food.	Wrap and cover food stuffs properly. Place caps on bottles and other liquid stores.
7. Difficulty in formation of ice and ice-cream.	-Incorrect setting of Freezer Temp. Control Knob.	For faster Ice & Ice-cream formation adjust the Freezer Temp. Control Knob to position 9.

8. Noise	-Normal cut-of/ cut-in noise	Whenever refrigerator starts & stop there is noise of Thermostat cut-off/ cut-in & Compressor start/stop. This is a normal phenomenon.
9. Bulb does not glow	-Bulb fused	Bulb is not covered under warranty LG Service Engineer will replace this on cost basis.

2. रेफ्रिजरेटर चालू होने लगता है पर काम नहीं करता	- कम बोल्टेज़	मेन्स में लाईन - करेबिंटंग टांसफार्मर लगाएं यावोल्टेज स्टेबिलाइजर का इस्तेमाल करें।
3. रेफ्रिजरेटर में रखे खाद्य पदार्थाँ का कम ठंडा होना	- ठंडी हवा के प्रवाह में कावट- गलत थमौस्टेट नियंत्रा का चयन- गर्म हवा का प्रवेश- गर्म भोजन का भंडार ।	बर्तनों के बीच जगह बनाएं। शैल्फ कपड़े या पोलिथीन से ढळकी हो तो उन्हें हटा दें।रेफ्रिजरेटर में अधिक ठंडक के लिए रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियंत्रक नोब को अधिकतम 5~7 स्थिति पर रखें तथा फ्रीजर में अधिकतम ठंडक के लिए ताप नियंत्रक नोब को 9 पर रखें।बार-बार दरवाजा खोलने से बाहर की गर्म हवा रेफ्रिजरेटर से प्रवेश करती है. दरवाजा कम से कम खोलें।गर्म पदार्थ रेफ्रिजरेटर में रखने से बचें. रेफ्रिजरेटर में भंडार । से पहले उन्हें कमरे के तापमान तक ठंडा कर लें।
4. रेफ्रिजरेटर के बाहर पानी की बूदें जमना	- मानसूनी मौसम के कार । अत्यधिक आर्भता	मानसून के मौसम में जबकि वातावर । में आर्भता 90% तक हो जाती है तो रेफ्रिजरेटर की बगल में, खास तौर पर ऊपरी जिससे में पानी की बूदें जम सकती हैं, इस नमी को समय-समय पर साफ करना चाहिए. हमारे सर्विस प्रतिनिधि को बुलाकर ये जांच करवा लीजिए कि दरवाजे केबिनेट के साथ एक समान संपर्क में हैं और अच्छी तरह बंद होते हैं।
5. रेफ्रिजरेटर कम्पार्टेमेंट अधिक ठंडा होना	- रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियंत्रक नोब की गलत स्थिति	रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियंत्रक नोब को 1~3 तक रखें।
6. बर्फ और दुर्गध	- खाद्य पदार्थ ठीक से ढके और लपेटे नहीं गए	खाद्य पदार्थों को अच्छी तरह ढक कर और लपेट कर रखें. तरल पदार्थों को बोतलों और दूसरे पात्रों पर ढक्कन लगाकर रखें।
7. गंध का होना	- फ्रीजर ताप नियंत्रक की गलत स्थिति- बर्तनों का उपयोग	बर्फ या आइसक्रीम जमाने के लिए फ्रीजर ताप नियंत्रक नोब को 9 पर रखें।बर्फ जमाने के लिए आइस टे का इस्तेमाल करें।
8. आवाज	- सामान्य प से रेफ्रिजरेटर के बंद चालू होने की आवाज	थर्मौस्टेट और कम्प्रैशर के चालू बंद होने के कार । रेफ्रिजरेटर चालू बंद होता रहता है जिससे आवाज आती है। यह सामान्य प्रक्रिया है।
9. बल्ब का नहीं जलना	- यूज बल्ब	बल्ब वारंटी के अन्तर्गत नहीं आता है। LG सर्विस इंजीनियर इसकी उचित कीमत लेकर बदल देगा।

The LG Refrigerator comes with 1 + 4 year warranty, from the date of purchase, that comprises of a 1 year warranty on all Parts (except Light Bulb, Consumables, Loose Plastic Parts, Glass) in the first year and thereafter a 4 year Additional warranty on the compressor, from the date of purchase of the product, provided always that the warranty card bears the rubber stamp, date and signature of our Authorised Dealer.

4 YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON COMPRESSOR

The 4 year warranty on Compressor will continue even after the expiry of 1 year period from the date of purchase. This warranty covers Compressor only. Gas/Gas Charging will be charged to the customer. Gas charging is included only when compressor is defective & inoperative. During the additional warranty period, it does not cover any part such as condenser, freezer, capillary, suction line, overload protector, relay, thermostat etc.. Standard visiting charges will be applicable within the municipal limit of town where LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (LGEIL) has its Authorized Service centre, Service outside municipal limit will attract to and fro traveling, other incidental expenses in addition to standard visiting charges, as prevailing from time to time. During the warranty period, only the parts replaced or repaired shall be free of costs, but service charges shall always be payable by the customer.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the Refrigerator only & is non-transferable.
2. Repairs & replacements will be carried out by the dealer from whom the product has been purchased, or through the Authorized Service Centers of LGEIL. In case the customer shifts the place of residence during warranty period, it is advised to contact Authorized Service Centre directly or call our help line.
3. Repairs under warranty shall be carried out by an authorized service personnel only. The details of centralized help lines are attached.
4. For units installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of company's Authorized Service Center, it is responsibility of the purchaser to contact the nearest authorized service center and bring the unit to the authorized service center at its own cost and risk. All expenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the company's authorized service center, as well as expenses incurred with deputizing of service personnel/technicians towards conveyance and other incidentals etc. will be borne by the customer. Local Charges for transportation and handling charges may vary from location to location. Customers are advised to verify before. In case the customer desires to bring the unit on its own to the Authorized Service Centre, the same shall be at its own risks & consequences.
5. The concerned authorized service center will advise the customer whether to effect the repairs at site or at the authorized service center.
6. Call registered with the centralized helpline/Authorized service center, wherein only cleaning of the unit/parts in the unit due to dust accumulation on portions of the unit, general explanations/returning, are not to be considered as defects.
7. In case of repairs or replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of LGEIL alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of LGEIL), the same model shall be replaced and in the event such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model of price equivalent at the time of purchase.
8. In case of any damage to the product / customer abuse/ repairs by un-authorised personnels/ misuse detected/ by the Authorized Service Center personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on a chargeable basis only.
9. This warranty shall not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the Refrigerator. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts only under the warranty period.
10. The company or its Authorized Service Center reserves the right to retain any part/s or component replaced at its discretion, in the event of a defect being noticed in the equipment during warranty period.
11. While the company will make every effort to carry out repairs at the earliest, it however is made expressly clear that the company is under no obligation to do so in a specified period of time.
12. Warranty does not cover accessories external to the equipment supplied by the dealer.
13. If any coloured internal or external components are replaced, there will be commitment to ensure that the shades match with the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, tints may vary from the customer's unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching components changed at customer's request will be on chargeable basis except the component which actually needed.

Warranty is not applicable in any of the following cases :

1. The warranty card is not completed properly at the time of purchase. 2. The completed warranty card is not presented to authorized service personnel at the time of service of the product. 3. The product is not operated according to instructions given in the Operating Instruction Booklet. 4. Defects are caused by improper or reckless use, which shall be determined by the company personnel. 5. Any repair work is carried out by persons other than authorized service personnel. 6. Defects are caused by due to causes beyond control like lightening, abnormal voltage, acts of God or while in transit to service center or purchaser's residence. 7. The warranty is not valid in case, the serial number is deleted, defected or altered. 8. Damage to the product or any part/s due to transportation or shifting is not covered by warranty. 9. a) This warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty period of 12 months, even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason. b) The warranty on compressor will automatically terminate on expiry of 4 years (after 1 year warranty period) even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the said period for any reason. 10. Only courts in state of Delhi and places where LGEIL has it's branch office shall have the jurisdiction for settling any claims, disputes arising under the warranty.
