Power Cord Replacement

When the power cord or the power plug is damaged or the holes of the outlet are loosed, do not use them.

It may cause electric shock or short circuit to make fire.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Child Entrapment Warning

An empty refrigerator can be a dangerous attraction to children. Remove gaskets, latches, lids or the entire door from your unused appliance, or take some other action to make it harmless.

About earthing

In the event of an electric short circuit, earthing reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.

Improper use of the earthing plug can result in an electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if you have doubts on whether the appliance is properly earthed.

In order to prevent possible electric shock, this appliance must be earthed.

NEVER STORE EXPLOSIVES AND CHEMICALS INSIDE REFRIGERATOR.

Unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance.

Never place glass products in the freezer because they may break due to expansion when their contents are frozen.

To prevent injury to the user and property damage, the following instructions must be followed. Incorrect operation due to ignoring of instruction will cause harm or damage, the seriousness is classified by the following indications.

CAUTIONS / सावधानियाँ

During Vacations

During average length vacations, you will probably find it best to leave the refrigerator in operation. Place freezable items in freezer for longer life. When you plan to be away for an extended period, remove all food, disconnect the power cord, clean the interior thoroughly, and leave each door OPEN to prevent odour formation. To operate again, let the refrigerator run for 6-8 hrs. for stabilization.

अवकाश के दौरान

औसतन छुड्वियों के दौरान सबसे अच्छा रहेगा कि आप रेफ्रिजरेटर को चलता रहने दें। फ्रिज्बल सामानों को फ्रिज्वर में लम्बी अवधि के लिए रख दें। जब आप लम्बे समय के लिए बाहर हों तो सभी खाद्य पदार्थों को निकाल लें तथा विद्धुत तार को निकाल दें। आन्तरिक रूप से पूरी सफाई करें और प्रत्येक दरवाजे को खोल दें, जिससे दुर्गन्ध न हो। दुबारा ऑपरेट करने के लिए, रेफ्रिजरेटर को 6-8 घंटे तक चलता रहने दें।

Shifting

While shifting the refrigerator, two people should carry it for its safety. Fasten the door with tape or lock to prevent opening of the refrigerator.

रेफ्रिजरेटर को स्थानान्तरित करते समय सुरक्षार्थ कम से कम दो आदमी लगने चाहिए। दरवाजे को टेप से अच्छी तरह बाँध दें या लॉक लगा दें ताकि वह स्थानान्तरित करते वक्त ना खुलें।

Cleaning

Cleaning of Interior Parts is recommended. Wash all compartments with a mild baking soda solution, then rinse and dry the compartment. Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or detergent to clean the exterior finish of your refrigerator. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.

सफाई

सभी आन्तरिक भागों की सफाई की सलाह दी जाती है। सोडा के घोल से सभी भागों को धोएं तथा साफ कपड़े से पोँछ कर सुखा लें। रेफ्रिजरेटर की बाहरी सफाई के लिए मन्द साबुन या डिटर्जैंट के गुनगुने घोल का प्रयोग करें। फिर साफ—सुथरे एवं भीगे हुए कपड़े से पोँछकर सुखाएं।

Installation

Refrigerator should be located properly in ventilated area.

Levelling of refrigerator should be done with front leg. Refrigerator should be levelled with front to back inclination for base.

रेफ्रिजरेटर को सही तरह से हवादार जगह पर रखें।

रेफ्रिजरेटर के स्तर को निश्चित करने के लिए कम या अधिक करने वाले पैर की सहायता लेनी चाहिए। इसको जमीन पर सुस्थिर करने के लिए इस प्रकार व्यवस्थित करना चाहिए कि यह थोड़ा सा आगे से पीछे की ओर झुका हो।

Use electrical connection with 3-pin for earthing.

अर्थिंग के लिए तीन पिनों वाला विद्युत कनेक्शन का प्रयोग करें।

Specially designed knob gives you facility to control temperature inside Refrigerator.

विशेष रूप से निर्मित नाँब आपको रेफ्रिजरेटर के अन्दर तापमान को नियन्त्रित करने की सुविधा प्रदान करता है।

Before loading, let refrigerator run for 8 hrs. in No. 4 position

रेफ्रिरजेटर लोड करने से पहले उसको नं. 4 स्थिति पर 8 घंटे तक चलाएं।

Operating Procedure

DEFROSTING

It is natural for moisture in the air to condense on the cold surface. This leads to a regular build up of frost on the surface of the freezer.

Defrost regularly to avoid heavy frost building on the evaporator which results in reduced cooling efficiency.

डीफ्राँस्ट कैसे करें:

हवा में मौजूद नमी का ठंडी सतह पर जमना स्वाभाविक है. इसलिए फ्रिज़र की सतह पर बर्फ़ जमती रहती है।

बर्फ की जमावट के कारण कम ठंडक उत्पन्न होती है और क्षमता घट जाती है। इसलिए इसे नियमित रूप से डिफ्रॉस्ट करें।

Push the defrost Knob after every 3 days / Ice Level reaches defrost indicator.

प्रत्येक 3 दिन में डिफ्रॉस्ट नाँब को द्वाकर डिफ्रॉस्ट करें/ जब भी बर्फ डिफ्रॉस्ट निशान तक पहुँचे।

Ice Making

Fill ice trays with water, place in freeze Box.

To remove ice cube, gently twist Ice Tray.

बर्फ कैसे बनाएं

बर्फ की ट्रे को पानी से भरें और इसे फ्रीज़ बॉक्स में रखें।

बर्फ निकालने के लिए बर्फ की ट्रे को हल्के से मरोड़ें।

Do not use sharp tool to remove ice tray, otherwise you may puncture the evaporator resulting gas leakage thus non performance of refrigerator.

बर्फ की ट्रे हटाने के लिए तेज धार वाले औजार का इस्तेमाल न करें वरना इससे प्रीजर में सूराख हो सकता है और परिणामस्वरूप गैस बाहर निकल जायेगी जिससे रेफ्रिजरेटर काम नहीं करेगा।

How to get good results

Don't keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator.

This will result in an increased temperature and increase in power consumption.

गर्म दूध या गर्म भोजन को अपने रेफ्रिजरेटर में न रखें। इसके परिणामस्वरूप तापमान बढ़ेगा जिससे । बिजली की ज्यादा खपत होगी

Don't open the refrigerator door too often-hot air will enter and increase the temperature.

रेफ्रिरजेटर का दरवाज़ा बार-बार न खोलें। इससे गर्म हवा अंदर जाती है और तापमान बढ़ा देती है।

Never overload your refrigerator or cover the shelves with paper or plastic sheets as it will reduce its efficiency.

अपने रेफ्रिरजेटर को ओवर लोड न करें और ना ही पेपर या प्लास्टिक की पन्नियों से शैल्फ को ढकं क्योंकि इससे रेफ्रिरजेटर की कार्यक्षमता कम हो जाएगी।

Close the door properly, make sure that there is no gap between the gasket and the cabinet of your LG refrigerator.

दरवाजे को अच्छे से बन्द करें ताकि आपके LG रेफिरजेटर की कैबिनेट और गैसकिट के बीच जगह ना रहे ।

Cover or wrap all foods that you put into your refrigerator with polythene or aluminium foil, preventing the mixing of flavours and to keep the food from drying.

रेफ्रिजरेटर में जो खाद्य पदार्थ रखें उसे ढक दें या पोलिथीन अथवा एल्यूमीनियम की पत्री में लपेट कर रखें, ताकि खाद्यसामग्रियों का जायका और खुशबू आपस में न मिलें और वो सूखे नहीं।

Wipe excessive moisture on food or place it inside containers or plastic bags. This will help in retaining its freshness for a longer period of time.

खाद्य पदार्थ के ऊपर से अत्यधिक नमी को साफ कर दें या फिर उन्हें किसी box या प्लास्टिक थैली में रखें । ऐसा करने से आपका खाना ज्यादा समय तक ताजा रहेगा ।

Feel free to call your LG Customer Information Centre (CIC) / Branch / LG Representative in case your refrigerator has suffered a damage in transit.

रेफ्रिजरेटर को एक जगह से दूसरी जगह ले जाने में अगर कोई नुक्सान हो जाए तो अपने LG Customer Information Centre (CIC) / ब्रांच / LG के प्रतिनिधि को बुलाएं।

It is recommended to use Voltage Stabilizer (0.5KVA) if power fluctuations are frequent and out of specified voltage range (135-290V), Stabilizer usage increases the refrigerator life.

यदि बिजली बार-बार कम या ज्यादा आ रही है या निर्दिष्ट वोल्टेज क्षमता (135-290V) से भिन्न है तो यह सलाह दी जाती है कि वोल्टेज स्टेबिलाइजर (0.5KVA) का प्रयोग करें। स्टेबिलाइजर का इस्तेमाल रेफ्रिजरेटर की उम्र बढ़ाता है।

1. Refrigerator does not work.	-Thermostat switch in ‘OFF’ position.-Power Supply Off.-Stabilizer not working properly-Low Voltage.	Check that the thermostat knob is on 'Normal' (No.4) position and not in off position.Check that the refrigerator main supply plug is connected to the wall socket and that the supply is on. Check that the fuse is intact in he supply line.Please plug power cord of refrigerator directly in the wall socket and then check, if it works then get the stabilizer checked by Stabilizer Repairing Centre.Install a line-correcting transformer in the mains, or a Voltage Stabilizer.
2. Refrigerator attempts to start, but does not operate.
3. Refrigerator contents not cooling.And Difficulty in formation of ice and ice-cream.	-Defrosting over due-Restriction of cold air circulation.-Improper thermostat control selection.-Storing hot foods.	Defrost the refrigerator.Provide space in between the dishes. If the shelves are covered with cloth or polythene, remove it.If the refrigerator is required to give a low temperature turn the thermostat knob towards colder (No.7) position.Avoid storing hot foods in the refrigerator, cool them to room temperature before placing them inside the refrigerator.

4. Formation of water drops on exterior of refrigerator.	—High humidity during monsoon season.	During the monsoon, when the humidity in the atmosphere reaches around 90% water droplets may form around the sides of the refrigerator cabinet, especially the top portion. This moisture should be wiped off periodically. Contact our serviceman to check the door seal or proper and uniform contact with the cabinet.
5. Formation of droplets on the underside of the Chiller tray.	—Hot and humid climate.	In hot and humid weather the moist air rushes inside whenever the refrigerator door is opened. This results in excess frosting on the Evaporator and condensation on the Chiller tray bottom. Avoid too frequent door openings.
6. Smell and odour.	—Improper covering and wrapping of food.	Wrap and cover food stuffs properly. Place caps on bottles and other liquid stores. If the smell persists, defrost the refrigerator, remove all foodstuffs, clean the refrigerator thoroughly and wipe it dry before restarting.
7. Noise	—Normal cut-of/ cut-in noise	Whenever refrigerator starts & stop there is noise of Thermostat cut-off/ cut-in & Compressor start/stop. This is a normal phenomenon.
8. Noise from Freezer	—Hissing noise from Freezer	This is normal gas expansion noise
9. Bulb does not glow	—Bulb fused	Bulb is not covered under warranty LG Service Engineer will replace this on cost basis.

1. रैफ्रिजरेटर कामनहीं करता	- थर्मॉस्टेट का स्विच“ऑफ" स्थिति में- विद्युत आपूर्ति बंद- स्टेबिलाइजर ठीक तरहसे काम नहीं कर रहा- कम वोल्टेज़	देखिए कि थर्मॉस्टेट का नाँब 'सामान्य' (न.4) की स्थिति में हो न कि 'ऑफ' स्थिति में.ये भी देख लीजिए कि रेफ्रिजरेटर की मेन्स साप्लाई का प्लग वॉल साँकेट में लगा हो और आपूर्तिचालू हो. ये भी जांच लीजिए कि विद्युत लाइन में लगा फयूज ठीक हो.रेफ्रिजरेटर को सीधे वॉल साँकेट से जोड़े और फिर देखे, यदि बिना स्टेबिलाइजर के सही कामकर रहा है तो स्टेबिलाइजर खराब है। इसकी जाँच कराएं।मेन्स में लाईन - करेकिंटिंग ट्रांसफॉर्मर लगाएं या वोल्टेज स्टेबिलाइजर का इस्तेमाल करें.

3. रैफ्रिजरेटर में रखीसामग्री ठंडी नहीं होतीऔरबफ़ और आइसक्रीमबनने में कठिनाई	- वक्त पर डीफ्रॉस्टिंग नहीकी गई, ठंडी हवा केप्रवाह में रूकावट- गलत थर्मॉस्टेटनियंत्रण का चयन- गर्म भोजन का भंडारण	रेफ्रिजरेटर को डीफ्रॉस्ट कीजिए, बर्तनों के बीचजगह बनाइए, शेल्फ कपड़े या पोलिथीन से ढकीहो तो उन्हें हटा दीजिए.अगर रेफ्रिजरेटर को कम तापमान पर रखना जरूरीहो तो थर्मॉस्टेट नाँब को ठंडी स्थिति (नं.7) में घुमाएं.गर्म पदार्थ रेफ्रिजरेटर में रखने से बचें. रेफ्रिजरेटर में भंडारण से पहले उन्हें कमरे केतापमान तक ठंडा कर लें.
4. रैफ्रिजरेटर के बाहरपानी की बूंदें जमना	- मानसूनी मौसम के कारणअत्यधिक आर्दता	मानसून के मौसम में जबकि वातावरण में आर्दता 90% तक हो जाती है तो रेफ्रिजरेटर कीबगल में, खास तौर पर ऊपरी जिससे में पानी की बूंदें जम साकती हैं, इस नमी को सामय-समय पर साफ़ करना चाहिए. हमारे सर्विस प्रतिनिधि को बुलाकर ये जांच करवा लीजिएकि दरवाजे केबिनेट के साथ एक समान संपर्क में हैं और अच्छी तरह बंद होते हैं.
5. चिलर ट्रै के नीचे बूंदोंका निर्माण होना	- गर्म और आर्द्र मौसम	गर्म और आर्द्र मौसम में जब भी रेफ्रिजरेटर का दरवाजा खोला जाता है तो नम हवा अंदरप्रवेश कर जाती है. इससे इवापरेटर पर अत्यधिक फ्रॉस्ट जम जाती है और चिलर ट्रै केनीचे बूंदें बन जाती हैं. इसलिए बार-बार दरवाजा न खोलें.
6. बफ़ और दुर्गध	- खाद्य पदार्थ ठीक से ढकेऔर लपेटे नहीं गए	खाद्य पदार्थों को अच्छी तरह ढक कर और लपेट कर रखें. तरल पदार्थों को बोतलों औरदूसरे पात्रों पर ढक्कन लगाकर रखें. फिर भी गंध आए तो रेफ्रिजरेटर से सब सामग्रीनिकाल लें, डीफ्रॉस्ट करें, अच्छी तरह साफ करें और फिर चालू करने से पहले सूखने दें.
7. आवाज	- सामान्य रूप सेरेफ्रिजरेटर के बंद/चालूहोने की आवाज	थर्मॉस्टेट और कम्प्रैशर के चालू/बंद होने के कारण रेफ्रिजरेटर चालू/बंद होता रहता हैजिससे आवाज आती है। यह सामान्य प्रक्रिया है।
8. फ्रीजर से आवाज	- फ्रीजर से विशेष प्रकारकी आवाज- फ्यूज बल्ब	यह आवाज गैस के फैलने की वजह से आती है।
9. बल्ब का नहीं जलना		बल्ब वारंटी के अन्तर्गत नहीं आता है। LG सर्विस इंजीनियर इसकी उचित कीमत लेकरबदल देगा।

The LG Refrigerator comes with 1 + 4 year warranty, from the date of purchase, that comprises of a 1 year warranty on all Parts (except Light Bulb, Consumables, Loose Plastic Parts, Glass) in the first year and thereafter a 4 year Additional warranty on the compressor, from the date of purchase of the product, provided always that the warranty card bears the rubber stamp, date and signature of our Authorised Dealer.

4 YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON COMPRESSOR

The 4 year warranty on Compressor will continue even after the expiry of 1 year period from the date of purchase. This warranty covers Compressor only. Gas/Gas Charging will be charged to the customer. Gas charging is included only when compressor is defective & inoperative. During the additional warranty period, it does not cover any part such as condenser, freezer, capillary, suction line, overload protector, relay, thermostat etc.. Standard visiting charges will be applicable within the municipal limit of town where LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (LGEIL) has its Authorized Service centre, Service outside municipal limit will attract to and fro traveling, other incidental expenses in addition to standard visiting charges, as prevailing from time to time. During the warranty period, only the parts replaced or repaired shall be free of costs, but service charges shall always be payable by the customer.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the Refrigerator only & is non-transferable.
2. Repairs & replacements will be carried out by the dealer from whom the product has been purchased, or through the Authorized Service Centers of LGEIL. In case the customer shifts the place of residence during warranty period, it is advised to contact Authorized Service Centre directly or call our help line.
3. Repairs under warranty shall be carried out by an authorized service personnel only. The details of centralized help lines are attached.
4. For units installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of company's Authorized Service Center, it is responsibility of the purchaser to contact the nearest authorized service center and bring the unit to the authorized service center at its own cost and risk. All expenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the company's authorized service center, as well as expenses incurred with deputizing of service personnel/technicians towards conveyance and other incidentals etc. will be borne by the customer. Local Charges for transportation and handling charges may vary from location to location. Customers are advised to verify before. In case the customer desires to bring the unit on its own to the Authorized Service Centre, the same shall be at its own risks & consequences.
5. The concerned authorized service center will advise the customer whether to effect the repairs at site or at the authorized service center.
6. Call registered with the centralized helpline/Authorized service center, wherein only cleaning of the unit/parts in the unit due to dust accumulation on portions of the unit, general explanations/returning, are not to be considered as defects.
7. In case of repairs or replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of LGEIL alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of LGEIL), the same model shall be replaced and in the event such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model of price equivalent at the time of purchase.
8. In case of any damage to the product / customer abuse/ repairs by un-authorised personnels/ misuse detected/ by the Authorized Service Center personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on a chargeable basis only.
9. This warranty shall not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the Refrigerator. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts only under the warranty period.
10. The company or its Authorized Service Center reserves the right to retain any part/s or component replaced at its discretion, in the event of a defect being noticed in the equipment during warranty period.
11. While the company will make every effort to carry out repairs at the earliest, it however is made expressly clear that the company is under no obligation to do so in a specified period of time.
12. Warranty does not cover accessories external to the equipment supplied by the dealer.
13. If any coloured internal or external components are replaced, there will be commitment to ensure that the shades match with the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, tints may vary from the customer's unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching components changed at customer's request will be on chargeable basis except the component which actually needed.

Warranty is not applicable in any of the following cases :

1. The warranty card is not completed properly at the time of purchase. 2. The completed warranty card is not presented to authorized service personnel at the time of service of the product. 3. The product is not operated according to instructions given in the Operating Instruction Booklet. 4. Defects are caused by improper or reckless use, which shall be determined by the company personnel. 5. Any repair work is carried out by persons other than authorized service personnel. 6. Defects are caused by due to causes beyond control like lightening, abnormal voltage, acts of God or while in transit to service center or purchaser's residence. 7. The warranty is not valid in case, the serial number is deleted, defected or altered. 8. Damage to the product or any part/s due to transportation or shifting is not covered by warranty. 9. a) This warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty period of 12 months, even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason. b) The warranty on compressor will automatically terminate on expiry of 4 years (after 1 year warranty period) even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the said period for any reason. 10. Only courts in state of Delhi and places where LGEIL has it's branch office shall have the jurisdiction for settling any claims, disputes arising under the warranty.
