Mein Mikrowellenherd verursacht Störungen im Fernseher. Ist das normal?

Precautions to Avoid Possible Exposure to Excessive Microwave Enregy

(a) Do not attempt to operate this oven with the door open since open-door operation can result in harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to defeat or tamper with the safety interlocks.

(b) Do not place any object between the oven front face and the door, or allow soil or cleaner residue to accumulate on sealing surfaces.

(c) Do not operate the oven if it is damaged. It is particularly important that the oven door closes properly and that there is no damage to the:

(1) door (bent).
(2) hinges and latches (broken or loosened).
(3) door seals and sealing surfaces.

(d) Do not operate the oven if door seal areas are damaged the appliance should not be operated until it has been repaired by a service technician trained by the manufacturer.
(e) It is dangerous for anyone other than a service technician trained by the manufacturer to perform repair service.

Installation

Examine Your Oven

Unpack the oven, remove all packing materials, and examine the oven for any damage such as dents, broken door latches or cracks in the door. Notify dealer immediately if oven is damaged. Do not install if the oven is damaged.

Guarantee Card

Fill out and post the preaddressed registration card.

Earthing Instructions

IMPORTANT: FOR PERSONAL SAFETY, THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE PROPERLY EARTHED. When a wall socket is not earthed, it is the personal responsibility and obligation of the customer to have it replaced with a properly earthed wall socket.

Voltage and Power Warning

The voltage used must be the same as specified on this microwave oven. Using a higher voltage than that which is specified is dangerous, and may result in a fire or other type of accident causing damage.

Placement of Oven

1. Oven must be placed on a flat, stable surface. For proper operation, the oven must have sufficient air flow.
   a. Do not block air vents on the cabinet. And also do not place any articles on the top of the oven. If they are blocked during operation, the oven may overheat. If the oven overheats, a thermal safety device will turn the oven off. The oven will remain inoperable with blank display until it has cooled.
   b. Do not use the oven with the gas or electric range simultaneously.
   c. Do not operate oven when room humidity is too high.
   d. In case of fitting into an oven housing, please use Panasonic's Trim Kit TK98, TK99, referring to the Trim Kit's Instruction Manual for details.
2. Do not allow mains cable to touch cabinet surface.
3. This oven was manufactured for domestic use only.

Removal of Vinyl-Cover

A vinyl-cover is wrapped around the cabinet to protect the outside body from scratches during transportation. Please remove it before you use this microwave oven.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

Green-and-yellow: Earth

Blue: Neutral

Brown: Live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured GREEN-and-YELLOW must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or by the safety earth symbol ± or coloured GREEN or GREEN-and-YELLOW. The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.

Plug in Oven

When the oven is first plugged in. The colon will light in the display window. When the Clock Pad is pressed the colon will then blink until the Clock Pad is set. (See page 8 for details.)

Caution Points

1. Do not attempt to tamper with or make any adjustments or repairs to door, control panel housing, safety interlocks switches or any other part of the oven. Do not remove outer panel from oven. Repairs should only be done by a qualified serviceperson.

1. To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity:

(a) Do not overcook food. Carefully attend the appliance if paper, plastic, or other combustible materials are placed inside the oven to facilitate cooking.

General Information

Food

1. Never use your microwave oven for home canning. The oven is not designed for canning. Improperly canned food may spoil and be dangerous to consume.
2. Cooking times given in the cookbook are approximate. Factors that may affect cooking the time are: preferred degree of cooking, starting temperature, altitude, volume, size and shape of foods and utensils used. As you become familiar with the oven, you will be able to adjust for these factors.
3. It is better to undercook rather than overcook foods. If food is undercooked, it can always be returned to the oven for further cooking. If food is overcooked, nothing can be done. Always start with minimum cooking times.
4. Small quantities of food or foods with low moisture content can burn, dry out or catch on fire if cooked too long. If a fire occurs, touch the Stop/Cancel Pad and leave oven door closed.
5. Do not boil eggs in their shell. Pressure may build up and the eggs will explode.
6. Potatoes, apples, egg yolks, whole vegetables and sausages are examples of food with nonporous skins. These must be pierced using a fork before cooking to prevent bursting.
7. Do not attempt to deep fat fry in your oven.
8. Use a meat thermometer to check the degree of cooking of roasts and poultry. If undercooked, return to oven and cood a few more minutes at the recommended power level. Do not use a conventional meat thermometer in the microwave oven. (See your cookbook for further information).
9. Heated liquid can erupt if not mixed with air. Do not heat liquid in your microwave oven without first stirring.

Note: It is important to correctly set the cooking time for pudding such as Christmas Pudding which has a high fat and sugar content. If the pudding is heated for too long, the inside may ignite.

Roller Ring

1. The roller ring and oven floor should be cleaned frequently to prevent excessive noise and food particle build up.
2. The roller ring together with the glass tray must always be used when cooking.

Glass Tray

1. Do not operate the oven without glass tray in place.
2. Do not use any other glass tray with this oven.
3. If the tray is hot, allow to cool before cleaning or placing it in water.
4. Do not cook directly on glass tray.
5. Do not place hot food or containers on a cold tray. Conversely, frozen food or containers on a hot tray.

Automatic Checking Mechanism

"FFFF" Display in Window:

FFF

If "FFFF" appears in display window remove the plug from the AC wall socket, wait 10 seconds and then plug the oven in again.

• If the "FFFF" indication clears, simply reset the time of day and use the oven.
• If the "FFFF" still appears, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased the oven.

Power Failure etc.:

When the oven is not being used for cooking, the time of day will appear in the display window. If the oven is affected by a temporary power failure or the plug is removed from the wall socket and then reinserted, the colon in the display window will light. To reset correct time of day, simply follow the clock set instructions. (See Page 8)

Controls

① Auto Count Up:

The Time, Power, Weight Defrost Category, 1.0 kg., and 0.1 kg., Auto Sensor Cooking Category pads are all equipped with the Auto Count Up feature. By holding your finger on the pad, the readout in the display window will automatically count up. After reaching the maximum function, the display will return to the starting point and continue to count up. To stop the readout simply remove your finger from the pad.

Note: When programming the oven, hold your finger firmly in the center of the pad.

Example: Auto Weight Defrost Pad, 1.0 kg Pad, 0.1 kg Pad

The Pads serve as a 10 minute pad, 1 minute pad, 10 second pad and 1 second pad from the left, and can be programmed up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds.

⑤ Cyclic Defrost Pad:

Gives you approximately 240 watts power.

⑥ Delay/Stand Pad:

Allows you to programme a Stand Time after cooking is completed. This pad can also be used to programme the oven as a minute timer.

⑦ Auto Sensor Cooking Pad:

Allows you to cook meat or poultry by choosing a cook category. For further information on Auto Sensor Cooking, refer to Introduction in Microwave Cookbook. Press this pad to select the appropriate cook category. Listed chart on page 13 are the recommended foods for each category.

⑧ Auto Weight Defrost Pad:

Allows you to defrost meat or poultry by weight. Choose a defrosting category and programme the weight of the food. Weight must be programmed in kilogrammes and tenths of a kilogramme. For further information on Auto Weight Defrost refer to the Introduction in the Microwave Cookbook.

Press this pad to select the appropriate defrosting category 1 through 4. Listed chart on page 12 are the recommended foods and maximum weight limits for each category.

⑨ 1 kg/1 lb Pad

Press this pad to programme the weight of your food by whole kilogramme, or pound.

10 0.1 kg/1 oz Pad

Press this pad to programme the weight of your food by a tenth of a kilogramme, or ounce.

⑪ kg/lb Convert Pad

Press this pad to convert the weight from either kg to lb·oz or lb·oz to kg.

NOTE: If you once set the weight by kilogramme or pound, kg/lb Pad can't work.

⑫ Stop/Cancel Pad:

Before cooking: One tap clears your instructions.

During cooking: One tap temporarily stops the cooking process. Another tap cancels all your instructions and time of day appears in display window.

13 Start Pad:

One tap allows oven to begin functioning. If door is opened or Stop/Cancel Pad is tapped once during oven operation, Start Pad must again be touched to restart oven.

14 Display Window:

Display the time of day before or after cooking, time during cooking, Category number of Auto Sensor Cooking, and Auto Weight Defrostling category and weight.

⑰ Door Opener Button:

Allows you to open the door by pushing the Door Opener Button.

Opening the Door:

Opening the door during cooking will stop the cooking process without canceling the programme. Cooking resumes as soon as the door is closed and Start Pad is touched. The oven light will stay on or turn on whenever the door is opened.

Beep Sound:

When a pad is touched correctly, a beep will be heard. If a pad is touched and no beep is heard, the unit does not or cannot accept the instruction. The oven will beep twice between programmed stages. At the end of any completed programme, the oven will beep 5 times.

18 Adjust to Taste Pad:

When you cook by Auto Sensor Cooking. This Pad allows you to adjust to taste by pushing More Pad or Less Pad before pushing Start Pad.

Operation Procedure

Auto Weight Defrost

Step 1

Press Auto Weight Defrost Pad to select Defrost Category 1 through 4.

Select the desired weight and set the weight of your food by pressing 1 kg/1 lb Pad and/or 0.1 kg/1oz Pad.

▶Clock time disappears. The selected category number appears in the display window. Auto Weight Defrost indicator light turns on. kg or lb • oz indicator turn on.

▶Category number disappears and the weight selected appears in display window.

Step 3

Touch Start Pad.

After Oven Starts:

▶ MICROWAVE DEFROSTING BEGINS. Turntable rotates. Oven light turns on. Auto Weight Defrost indicator light begins to blink. Weight in display disappears. Defrosting time appears and counts down second by second, or minute by minute.
▶WHEN DEFROSTING IS COMPLETED, oven beeps five times and shuts off. Turntable stops. The indicator light and oven light turn off. Time of day appears in display window.

After Oven Starts:

▶ MICROWAVE COOKING BEGINS. Turntable rotates. Oven light turns on. Auto Sensor Cooking indicator light begins to blink. The selected category number still remains.

- When Humidity Sensor detects moisture which escapes from the food, Time readout appears in the Display Window, indicating remaining amount of time that food will cook. Selected Auto Sensor programme number disappears. Oven beeps twice.

▶ WHEN COOKING IS COMPLETED, oven beeps five times and shuts off. Turntable stops rotating. The indicator light and oven light turn off. Time of day appears in display window.

2. For proper cooking results on Auto Sensor programme, be sure to cover foods tightly with plastic film, or place in a glass casserole with lid as directed by recipe.
3. When Humidity Sensor detects moisture and oven calculates remainder of cooking time to be over 60 minutes, time will appear as hour and minutes. Seconds will not visibly count down until 59 minutes remain.

IMPORTANT:

• When cooking with Auto Sensor, do not interrupt for more than one minute for better cooking result as long as Auto Sensor Cooking category number is indicated in the Display Window.
  ●All foods for Auto Sensor Cooking to cook are taken from their normal storage place.
  ● All foods for Auto Sensor Cooking to defrost and cook should be solidly frozen.
• Before using Auto Sensor feature, make sure glass tray in the oven is dry to assure best Auto cooking results.
• Room temperature or heat surrounding the oven should not be above 35°C or below 0°C when using the Auto Sensor Cooking cycle. Otherwise, inaccurate cooking may result.
• When selecting Auto Sensor Cooking for frozen foods, do not expect to be completely defrosted or to be cooked, when oven beeps twice.

This is a total cycle for frozen foods and foods should not be removed until the end of the cook cycle. For defrosting foods only, use Defrost cycle, or Auto Weight Defrost.

Stand Time

Step 1

Programme desired cooking programme according to directions already given in this manual.

Questions & Answers

Q: I accidentally ran my microwave oven without any food in it. Is it damaged?

A: We do not recommend operating the microwave oven without any food. However, running the oven empty for a short time will not damage the oven.

Q: Why won't my oven turn on?

A: When the oven does not turn on, check the following:

1. Is the oven plugged in securely? Remove plug from outlet, wait 10 seconds and reinsert.
2. Check circuit breaker or fuse. Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse if it is tripped or blown.
3. If the circuit breaker or fuse is all right, plug another appliance into the outlet. If the other appliance works, there probably is a problem with the oven. If the other appliance does not work, there probably is a problem with the outlet.

If it seems there is a problem with the oven, contact an authorized service facility.

Q: How many stages can be programmed in my Panasonic Oven?

A: Your oven may be programmed up to three stages.

Q: Can stand time be programmed after three stage cooking?

A: No. The oven can only accept a maximum of three stages. Stand after three stage cooking would make a four stage programme.

Q: Can the oven be used with the glass tray or roller ring removed?

A: No. Both the glass tray and roller ring must be positioned correctly in the oven before cooking.

Q: My microwave oven causes interference with my TV. Is this normal?

A: Some radio and TV interference might occur when you cook with the microwave oven. This interference is similar to the interference caused by small appliances such as mixers, vacuums, hair dryers, etc. It does not indicate a problem with your oven.

Q: The oven won't accept my programme. Why?

A: The oven is designed not to accept incorrect programme. For example, clock must be set before programming any cooking programme.

Q: Why does my oven light dim?

A: When cooking with a power other than HIGH, the oven must pulse to obtain the lower power levels. The oven light dims and clicking noises can be heard when the oven is pulsing.

Q: Why does steam accumulate on the oven door?

A: During cooking, steam is given off from the food. Most of the steam is removed from the oven by the air which circulates in the oven cavity. However, some steam will condense on the cooler surfaces such as the oven door. This is normal.

Q: Sometimes warm air comes from the oven vents. Why?

A: The heat given off from the cooking food warms the air in the oven cavity. This warmed air is carried out of the oven by the air flow pattern in the oven. There are no microwaves in the air. The oven air vents should never be blocked during cooking.

Q: When I turn on my oven, there is noise coming from the glass tray.

A: This noise occurs when the roller ring and oven bottom are dirty. Frequent cleaning of these parts should eliminate or reduce the noise.

Q: Why does "h" appear in the display window?

A: When Delay/Stand function power is selected, an "h" appears in the display window to indicate the Time pads now function in hours and minutes, instead of minutes and seconds. When Delay/Stand function power is programmed for one hour or longer, the time will count down minute by minute. When less than 59 minutes (59 00) remains, the time counts down second by second.

Care of Your Microwave Oven

1) Turn the oven off before cleaning.
2) Keep the inside of the oven and door sealing surfaces clean. When food spatters or spilled liquids adhere to oven walls and door sealing surfaces, wipe off with a damp cloth. Mild detergent may be used if they get very dirty. The use of harsh detergent of abrasives is not recommended.
3) The outside oven surface should be cleaned with soap and water, rinsed and dried with a soft cloth. To prevent damage to the operating parts inside the oven, water should not be allowed to seep into the ventilation openings.
4) If the Control Panel becomes wet, clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasives on control Panel. When cleaning the control Panel, leave the oven door open to prevent the oven from accidentally turning on. After cleaning touch Stop/Cancel Pad to clear display window.
5) If steam accumulates inside or around the outside of the oven door, wipe with a soft cloth. This may occur when the microwave oven is operated under high humidity conditions and in no way indicates a malfunction of the unit.

6) It is occasionally necessary to remove the glass tray for cleaning. Wash the tray in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.

7) The roller ring and oven cavity floor should be cleaned regularly to avoid excessive noise. Simply wipe the bottom surface of the oven with mild detergent water or window cleaner and dry. The roller ring may be washed in mild soapy water. Cooking vapours collect during repeated use but in no way affects the bottom surface or roller ring wheels. When removing the roller ring from cavity floor for cleaning, be sure to replace it in the proper position.

Replacement of Oven Light

When it becomes necessary to replace the oven light, you can replace it yourself. Please follow the directions below carefully.

Step 1. Turn off the oven and unplug it.

Step 2. Remove the screw from the oven light cover which is located on the rear side of the cabinet.

Step 3. Replace the oven light with the correct type bulb. If this bulb is not available locally, contact the nearest authorized service facility.

Step 4. Replace the oven light cover.

Step 5. Replace the screw securely.
