The included hanging hardware is easy to install and requires no tools. Simply attach the clips on the ends of the wire hangers to each of the four gold hanging anchors on top of the light.

2 IMPORTANT: Insert the power cord into the back of your KIND light first and then into a properly grounded power receptacle. Please make sure that all power requirements are considered if running multiple lights on one circuit. (Consult an electrician if you are unsure)

3 Your light is now ready to be turned on via the green switch on the back of the light.

4 There are certain diodes that emit Infrared light and others emit UV light. The IR diodes appear to be off and the UV diodes emit a dull blue light. Do not be alarmed as these diodes are on, working properly, and doing their job.

5 Your light should be positioned above the plant canopy at a distance that creates your ideal coverage area. The further away from the canopy the light is positioned, the bigger the coverage area. However, this will also lessen the light's intensity.

Initially the light needs to be 36" above the canopy for a 3-7 day acclimation period. After this the recommended height is 18"-26" above the canopy. While all plants are different, we suggest keeping minimum distance of 14" between light and canopy.

FAQ

Q: How close should my light be to the top of my plant canopy?

A: Due to the massive amount of light that Kind LED lights emit, the recommended hanging height above our plants is 18-26". Some high light use strains will be able to tolerate closer hanging heights, but we recommended that the light not be set closer than 14".

Q: Can I transfer plants from HPS or Fluorescents straight to my new Kind LED?

A: You most certainly can, but due to the fact that LED lights put out a very different type of light, it will take a few days for your plants to adjust to the new light. During the first few days, you may experience some bleaching on the uppermost leaves of your plant. This can be minimized by hanging the light 36" away from your plants for the first 3-7 days until they are used to the new light.

Q: How can I find my light's sweet spot in terms of hanging height above the canopy?

A: We suggest starting with the light at 36" for the first 3-7 days. After this initial break in period, the light can be lowered down, 6" at a time, until you reach 18". If any discoloration or twisting happens on the leaves, raise the light back up 6". This should be the height you maintain through the plant's life cycle.

Q: Some of the new leaves on my plant seem to be twisting or appear to be bleached. What's growing on?

A: This can be caused by your light being too close to the plants. Try moving the light up about 6"-12". You should see these signs disappear within a few days and normal healthy growth begin again.

Q: The footprint of my light does not look as big as the advertised footprint on the website.

A: Our advertised footprints are achieved only when the light is hung from our recommended hanging heights. The closer the light is to the canopy, the smaller the footprint will be. Our stated footprint sizes are for average light use plants. If growing high light use plants, the effective footprint will be slightly smaller.

Q: Can your lights run on 240v?

A: Yes! Kind LED lights can run safely on voltages ranging from 110v all the way up to 240v. The cord will need to be changed out to accommodate the different voltages, but this will be all you need!

Q: In a world of purple, should I be wearing protective glasses?

A: We always recommend that people use protective eye wear in any indoor gardening room. HPS, MH, and LED all emit huge amounts of light, and just like the sun, can be hard on your eyes. We here at Kind LED suggest a protective and color corrective pair of shades like the ones created by our friends over at Method 7. They have LED specific models that can be purchased directly from a Kind LED representative.

Q: I've heard LEDs require slightly higher room temps, is this true?

A: Yes, due to the fact that LEDs have much less radiant heat coming from the light, the surface temperatures on leaves under LED lights can be 10-15 degrees cooler than compared to HPS. This can cause transpiration rates and metabolic processes in the leaf to slow down. Raising ambient room temperatures up to 82-85 degrees will allow the plant to thrive in a perfect environment.

Q: Can I still use CO2 in my room with my Kind LED?

A: Absolutely! One of the greatest benefits of higher room temps when growing with LEDs is that the plants ability to assimilate CO2 greatly increases when temps are raised to 82-85 degrees. In fact, it is widely believed to be the ideal temperature for this process to take place, meaning your plants are fully utilizing that tank of gas that was such a pain in the butt to drag into your grow room.

What Is Covered

Kind LED Grow Lights products are warranted against defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the original date of purchase. During the warranty period, Kind LED will either repair or replace any covered, defective product. Within the first 90 days, Kind LED will incur all costs associated with the repair, or replacement, and return of the defective product. After 90 days, the customer will assume responsibility of shipping the defective product back to Kind LED for the remainder of the warranty period. Kind LED will, in turn, assume responsibility for up to \50.00 per light of the shipping fees and return of the defective product back to the purchaser. Return shipping fees in excess of \50.00 will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

What is Not Covered

This limited warranty does not cover any damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from any alteration, modification, improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, misuse, abuse, neglect, exposure to excess moisture, fire, improper packing and shipping (such claims must be presented to the carrier), lightning, power surges, or other acts of nature. This warranty does not cover any damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from the installation or removal of this product from any installation, any unauthorized tampering with this product, any repairs attempted by anyone unauthorized by Kind LED to make such repairs, or any other cause which does not relate directly to a defect in materials and/or workmanship of this product.

How to Obtain Warranty Service

In order to enforce the rights under this warranty, the purchaser must notify Kind LED of a warranty claim by contacting a Kind LED representative at [phone] or [e-mail]. At this time, the purchaser will be called upon to provide proof of purchase and the unique lot number located on the silver sticker on top of the housing. The Kind LED representative will either attempt to assist in troubleshooting, request photos showing defect, or issue a Return Authorization Number and provide more detailed return instructions. Upon receipt and review of the Defective product, Kind LED will repair or replace, and return within five (5) business days.

Damage Claim Policy & Procedure

Currently damages to Kind LED Grow Lights shipments occur less than .05% of the time. In the unfortunate event that damages do occur, the following procedure and timeline must be followed in order to ensure the expeditious delivery of a replacement system and a claim being filed with the damaging carrier.

1. When customer receives their KINDLED Grow Light, the external packaging must be inspected for any pins, tears.

punctures, abrasions, creases, or any marks that may indicate damage on the interior

1. Customer will then inspect contents alongside the delivering driver.

2. Significant damages should be refused by customer and signed off on by driver.

3. Damages not noticed and seen with driver present may still be claimed as concealed damages

4. A KIND LED representative MUST BE NOTIFIED OF THE DAMAGES (refused or concealed) WITHIN 48 HOURS IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY BEGIN A CLAIM WITH THE SHIPPING COMPANY. Customers exceeding this time frame may be penalized with a delay and/or forfeiture of a replacement, and or financial penalties.

5. The assigned Kind LED representative will require pictures and a description of the damages

6. Once the required pictures and description are received, a pick-up of the damaged product, and the shipment of a replacement product will be scheduled.

7. Provided that all of the above requirements are met, Kind LED will make every effort to send a replacement system within 72 hours. However, extenuating circumstances may prevent 100% adherence to this policy.
