- Please set up your tent prior to your first trip to ensure you are familiar with set up and the tent is in proper condition.
• Always choose a site with good drainage. - Inspect the site and remove any sharp or protruding objects that could damage the tent floor.
Set Up
1- Unroll the tent separating tent, fly sheet, poles and pegs and stake out the tent on the corners.
2- Assemble the poles ensuring the ferrule inserts are fully connected.
3- Insert one pole tip into the grommet located at a corner beside the door. Follow up the tent seam from the corner and attach the first clip to the pole. Angle the pole diagonally across the tent. Move to the back of the tent and insert the pole tip into the grommet. The pole will now be flexed. Follow up the seam from the corner attaching the first clip to the frame.
4- Repeat step 3 with the second pole beginning with the grommet at the opposite side of the door.
5- Attach the tent to the poles with all the clips.
6- Insert the short pole (flying bar) into the fly on the sleeves at both ends of the roofline.
7- Stretch the fly sheet over the tent. Fasten the Velcro fasteners, found on the underside of the fly, to the poles. Connect all fly buckle locations and adjust tension.
8- Stake out the fly.
Tips
- It is important that you store the tent in a dry condition. If you put the tent away in the carry bag while it is wet, even for a short time, it may become affected by mildew, which can damage the coating.
- The suns UV rays can be harmful even with technical advances in fabrics. Prolonged exposure could result in fading and possibly fabric disintegration. When choosing a site try to pitch the tent in a shaded area. Do not leave a tent up longer than necessary.
• Fuels can damage tents as can DEET found in many insect repellents. - All major seams are factory taped. Over ti me seams could experience delamination. Simply clean the seam and apply seam sealer that can be purchased at most outdoor stores.
- Avoid storing your tent in a hot location.
- We recommend the use of a thin groundsheet or floorsaver with any tent for added protection from abrasion. The floorsaver should be about 10cm. (4 inches) from the tent edge to avoid the possibility of channeling water beneath the tent.
- Please be sure to store your tent dry. Mildew can occur on waterproof coatings if stored when wet.
