How to operate your dishwasher
- Load your dishwasher and add detergent. See loading instructions on pages 7-9. See page 4 for detergent usage instructions.
1 Close door and move latch to extreme right.
2 Select drying option.
HEATED DRY NATURAL DRY

ENERGY SAVER
HEATED DRY. Turns drying heater on for fast drying. Adds 33 minutes to wash cycle time. Available on all wash cycles except Rinse & Hold. The HEATED DRY light will light up during the HEATED DRY cycle.
NATURAL DRY (no-heat drying). Saves energy because the drying cycle does not operate. Dishes dry naturally over a longer period, such as overnight. Available on all wash cycles. The HEATED DRY light will light up during the NATURAL DRY cycle.
If you need your dishes sooner, open the dishwasher door after the cycle is complete to reduce the natural drying time.
Use of this option reduces the electrical energy used by this model approximately 9.2% for the Normal Cycle.
You Will See Water Vapor:
- Through the vent next to the door latch when water is pumped out
- Through the vent next to the door latch during drying operations
Clicking Sounds You May Hear:
- Soft food dispenser shredding action
- Drain valve opening to pump water out
- Timer control as cycle progresses
• Detergent cup opening
3 Select the cycle option to start dishwasher.
If your dishwasher drains into a food waste disposer, operate the disposer until it is empty before starting the dishwasher.
Push the Cycle Selector Button all the way in to start the dishwasher.
POTS & PANS—For items such as pots, pans and casserole dishes with dried-on or baked-on soils. Everyday dishes may be included.
It is important to follow the loading instructions on pages 7-9.
NORMAL WASH—For loads of everyday dishes, glasses and cookware with medium soils. Designed to yield high performance on normal loads.
LIGHT WASH—For most loads of everyday dishes, with light soils or soils that have not dried on. It saves hot water over the higher performance cycles.
CHINA & CRYSTAL—For lightly-soiled china and crystal. This cycle is similar to Light Wash Cycle except the wash action is softened by pumping air along with the water to protect your delicate items. Pre-rinse before loading. Be sure you have followed the loading instructions on pages 7-9. RINSE & HOLD—For rinsing partial loads which will be washed later. Do not use detergent.
CANCEL & DRAIN—For cancelling operation after dishwasher has started. As the timer rapidly advances to a drain period and then to OFF:
• Water Temp Boost and Heated Dry indicator lights glow. This is normal.
- Detergent and rinse agent are released into the tub. If you do not plan to run another cycle immediately, use Rinse & Hold to rinse them off.
CYCLE INDICATOR DISPLAY—Shows where the dishwasher is in the cycle. The indicator will pause during the main detergent wash portion of the cycles.
WATER TEMP BOOST LIGHT
Your dishwasher has a system to assure proper water temperature for good cleaning. During the wash cycle, a heater is energized to maintain hot water. If the water is not at the proper temperature at the end of the wash cycle, washing and water heating will continue until the correct water temperature is reached, or up to 16 additional minutes in the main wash cycle. During the temperature boost period, the indicator light glows.
HEATED DRY LIGHT
Light glows during HEATED DRY cycle and during the NATURAL DRY cycle.
