Residualheat indicator

Caution

Thehobhasaresidualheatindicatorforeach hotplate.Itshowswhichhotplatesarestillhot.The residualheatindicatorhastwolevels.

IfanHappearsinthedisplay,thehotplateisstillhot. Youcan,forexample,keepasmallmealwarmormelt chocolateusingthisheat. Asthehotplatecoolsdownfurther,thedisplay changesto h.Thedisplayremainslituntilthe hotplatehascooledsufficiently.

Theresidualheatindicatorwillnolongercomeon afterapowercut. Thehotplatescouldstillbehot.

Thetwistknobismagneticandisplacedonthe twistpad.Youcanactivatethecorrespondinghotplate bypassingthetwistknobinthedirectionofthearrow.Youcanadjusttheheatsettingbyturningthetwist knob.

Removingthetwistknob

Youcanremovethetwistknob. This makes cleaning easier.

Youcanalsoremovethetwistknobwhilethehotplate isinoperation.Allthehotplateswillswitchoff automaticallyafter3seconds.

If you place a metal object on the twist pad within 3 seconds, the hob may continue to heat up. For this reason, always switch off the hob using them in switch.

Storingthetwistknob

Thetwistknobcontainsastrongmagnet.Keepthe twistknobawayfrommagneticdatacarriers,suchas videocassettes,diskettes,creditcardsorcardswith magneticstrips.Thedatathesecontaincould otherwisebewiped. Itcanalsocauseinterferenceintelevisionsetsand monitors.

Forcarriersofelectronicimplants, e.g. a pacemaker, aninsulin pump.

Implantscouldbeaffectedbymagneticfields. Youmustthereforenevercarrythetwistknobina pocketinyourclothing.Itmustbekeptatleast10cm frompacemakers.

Spareknob

If you cannot find your twist knob, your hob has another magnetic spare knob that you can use temporarily to operate your hob.

Thespareknobisnotsuitableforcontinuous operation.Ifyoucannotfindyouroriginaltwistknob, pleaseaskourafter-salesserviceforareplacement.

Mainswitchwithchildprooflock

Mainswitch

Themainswitchisusedtoswitchontheelectronics ofthecontrolpanel.Thehobisthenreadyforuse.

Switchingon

Touchthe ①symboluntilthe ☐hotplateindicators lightup.

Switchingoff

Touchthe①symboluntilthe ②hotplateindicatorsgo out.Allhotplatesswitchoff.Theresidualheat indicatorremainsonuntilthehotplateshavecooled downsufficiently.

Notes

Thehobswitchesoffautomaticallyifallhotplateshave beenswitchedoffformorethan10seconds.

Thesettingsremainstoredfor5secondsafterthehob hasbeenswitchedoff.Ifyouswitchthehobonagain duringthistime,thehobwilloperateusingthe previouslystoredsettings.

Childprooflock

Youcansecurethehobagainstbeingswitchedon unintentionallytopreventyourchildrenfromswitching iton. Thechildprooflockremainspermanently activated.

Operatingthehob

Eachtimeyouswitchonthehob,touchthe①main switchforlongerthan4seconds.Duringthistime,→ lightsupinthedisplay.Thehobisswitchedonas soonastheindicatorgoesout.

Deactivating the childproof lock

Youcandeactivatethechildprooflockagain.Proceed inexactlythesamewayasforactivatingthe childprooflock.

Lockingthehob temporarily

Youcanlockthehobtemporarily, e.g. if small children are coming to visit. Thehobmustbeswitchedoff. Touch the ① mainswitch for longer than 4 seconds. The hot plate indicators go out. The - indicator lights up for 10 seconds and goes out. The hob is locked.

Releasingthetemporary lock

Touchthe①mainswitchforlongerthan4seconds. Thehobisswitchedon.Thehobisunlocked.

Caution

Waterusedforcleaning, spiltfoodandobjectsplaced onthe①mainswitchcancausethechildprooflockto beunintentionallyactivatedordeactivated.

Settingprocedure

Pure electrical circuit lines without any symbols

Thehobmustbeswitchedon.

1. Select the hot plate. Do this bypassing the twist knob in the direction of the corresponding heat setting indicator. The indicator lights up and flashes in the heat setting indicator.

Changingthecookingtime

Whenthecookingtimehasended, the hot plate switches off. A lightsupintheheat setting display. A signals sounds for on minute. 00 flashes in the timer indicator. Touch any control panel. Thedisplays go out and the signal ceases.

Selectthehotplateusingthetwistknob.Pressthe √ symbolandadjustthecookingtimeusingthetwist knob.

Cancellingprematurely

Selectthehotplateusingthetwistknob,touchthe √ symbolandsetto. Theindicatorgoesoutaftera fewseconds.

Notes

If you would like to call up their remaining cooking time for a hot plate: Select the hot plate using the twist knob. The cooking time is displayed for 5 seconds.

Youcansetatimeofupto99minutes.

Theautomatictimelimitalsoappliestothetimer function.

Thetimerfunctionisnolongeractiveifthereisa powercut.

Cookingtimer

	Youcanusethetimeronyourcookertosetatimeof upto99 minutes.ltrunsindependentlyofalltheother settings.
Settingprocedure	Theremustbenohotplateselected.Touchthe Symbol, themin indicatorflashes.flashesinthetimerindicator.Usethetwistknobtosetherequiredtime.Thetimedisappearsafterafewseconds.The shortesttimesetwiththetimerisdisplayed.
Whenthecookingtimehas elapsed	Asignalsoundsforoneminute.flashesinthetimer indicatorandminflashes.Touchanycontrolpanel.Thedisplaysgooutandtheaudiblesignalceases.
Changingthetime	Touchthe Symbolandsetthetimerequiredusing thetwistknob.
Note	Thecookingtimerisnolongerinoperationaftera powercut.

Memoryfunction

Youcanusethememoryfunctiontostoretheheat settingsandtimesforadishwhichforrecallatany time.

Thememoryfunctionisusefulifyourequireseveral differentheatsettingsinordertoprepareadish, andif thereisadishwhichyoucookparticularlyoften.

The conditions must always be the same as when you stored these settings when preparing the dish, e.g.: the same saucepan, the same quantity and the same initial temperature for the dish.

Storingthesetting

Youcanstoreonememoryeventforeachhotplate. Foreachmemoryeventyoucanrecordupto 5 settings.Themaximumdurationthatcanbe recordedis99minutes.

Method

Thehobmustbeswitchedon.Nohotplateshouldbe selected.Thehotplateforwhichthesettingsaretobe recordedmustbeswitchedoff.

1. Touch the R symbol. rec flashes in the display.
2. Selecttherequiredhotplateandsettheheat settingwiththetwistknob.Recordingbegins.The recindicatorlightsupandRflashesnexttothe hotplateindicator.
3. Now prepare the dish as you wish. The settings are recorded.
4. When your dish is ready, switch off the hot plate. The cooking procedure is stored.

Notes

If you set more than 5 heat settings for your dish, flashes in the timer indicator and flashes in the hot plate indicator alternately with the continuation cooking setting. The subsequent heat settings are not recorded. The timer indicator goes out when you touch any control panel. You can finish cooking the dish as you wish.

Ifyousetmorethan99minutes,99flashesinthe timerdisplayand≡alternateswiththeongoing cookingsettinginthehotplateindicator.Subsequent heatsettingsarenotrecorded.Theindicatorsgoout whenyoutouchanycontrolpanel.Youcanfinish cookingthedishasyouwish.

If you want to store read different memory events for a hot plate: make anewrecording. The old memory is overwritten.

Theautomatictimelimitcanalsobeeactivatedusing thememoryfunction.

Callingupthe memory

If you want to cook a dish again for which the setting has been recorded, call up the memory. The hot plate for which the memory function is be activated must be switched off.

1. Select the hot plate with the twist knob.
2. Touch the Symbol to activate them memory.

Displayingthememory

The stored settings appear in the hot plate indicator in quick succession.

The hot plated does not heat up yet. The symbol on the hot plate light sup.

Each individual step appears in the indicator for 3 seconds.

Startingthememory function

After all the step have been displayed, the memory program starts. The hot plate heats up.

Thecurrentsettingisdisplayedinthehotplate indicator. Thedurationofthewholecookingevent countdowninthetimerindicator.

Youcancalluptheremainingheatsettingsandthe respectivecookingtimeswhilethememoryprogram isrunning:

Touch the Ⓧ symbol to display the current heat settingandduration.Youcannowcallupallthe remainingheatsettingsandtherespectivedurations usingthe💡symbol.

The hot platetemperature is controlled by switching the heat on and off, this means that it is not always possible to be ethered, glowing heat. If you select a low heat setting, the heat will switch off more often than higher heat settings. The heat also switches on and off at the highest setting.
