Disposal of your old appliance

1. When this crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is attached to a product it means the product is covered by the e-waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2011.

2. All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the or the local authorities.

3. The correct disposal of your old appliance will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.

4. For more detailed information about disposal of your old appliance, please contact your city office, waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
5. This product does not contain any of the hazardous substances as specified in the rule 13 (1) and (2) of the e-waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2011.

This is the safety alert symbol. It alerts you to safety messages that inform you of hazards that can kill or hurt you or others or cause damage to the product. All safety messages will be preceded by the safety alert symbol and the hazard signal word DANGER, WARNING, or CAUTION. These words mean:

- Unplug the power plug when cleaning, handling or replacing the interior lamp of the refrigerator.

- Do not place the heavy object or the dangerous object (container with liquid) on the refrigerator.

- When gas is leaked, do not touch the refrigerator or the outlet and ventilate the room immediately.

- When any strange smell or smoke is detected from the refrigerator, disconnect the power plug immediately and contact to the service center.

- Do not insert the hands or the metal stick into the exit of cool air, the cover, the bottom of the refrigerator, the heatproof grill (exhaust hole) at the backside.

\* If the gas used is R600a -

This appliance contains a small amount of isobutane refrigerant (R600a), natural gas with high environmental compatibility, but it is also combustible. When transporting and installing the appliance, care should be taken to ensure that no parts of the refrigerating circuit are damaged. Refrigerant squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause an eye injury. If a leak is detected, avoid any naked flames or potential sources of ignition and air the room in which the appliance is standing for several minutes.

In order to avoid the creation of a flammable gas air mixture if a leak in the refrigerating circuit occurs, the size of the room in which the appliance may be sited depends on the amount of refrigerant used. The room must be 1m^3 in size for every 8g of R600a refrigerant inside the appliance. the amount of refrigerant in your particular appliance is shown on the identification plate inside the appliance.

Never start up an appliance showing any signs of damage. If in doubt, consult your dealer.

\* R600a गैस का प्रयोग किये गए रेफ्रिजरेटर के लिए सुरक्षा संबंधी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी

इस उपकरण में (आइसोब्यूटेन R600a) का प्रयोग किया गया है। यह प्राकृतिक गैस उस पर्यावरण अनुकुलित है।, परन्तु ये ज्वलनशील भी है। परिवाहन और स्थापना करते समय सुनिश्चित करें, कि रेफ्रिजरेंट सर्किट का कोई भी हिस्सा क्षतिग्रस्त ना हो, यह होने से रेफ्रिजरेंट लीक हो सकता है जिसे आग लगने की संभावना या ऑँखें क्षतिग्रस्त हो सकती है। यदि किसी भी प्रकार के रिसाव का पता चले तो आग और कोई भी ईंधन श्रोत को दूर रखें और रेफ्रिजरेटर के पास वाली जगह को खुली रखें।

यदि रेफ्रिजरेटर लीक होता है, तो गैस और हवा के मिश्रण को रोकने के लिए कमरे का क्षेत्र 1m³/8g होनी चाहिए। रेफ्रिजरेटर की मात्रा पहचान प्लेट पर दर्शायी गई है।

किसी भी प्रकार के नुकसान होने के लक्षण पर उपकरण को शुरू ना करें और समस्या होने पर डीलर से सम्पर्क करें।

Refrigerator should be located properly in ventilated area.

- As Deodorizer is located in cooling air path for circulating air in fresh food compartment, there is no need for any handling.

- Do not prick the cooling air inlet with a sharp tip because Deodorizer may be damaged.

Identification of Controls

TEMPERATURE CONTROL

• Refrigerator and Freezer Compartment Temperature is controlled by Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob and Freezer Control Knob respectively.

- Initially set the Refrigerator Temp. Control Med/normal and the Freezer Temp. Control at Normal.

Operating Procedure

DEFROSTING / डीफ्रॉस्टिंग

● Defrosting takes place automatically.
● The defrosted water flows down to the evaporating tray which is located in the lower back side of the refrigerator and is evaporated automatically.

Suggestions on Food Storage

When storing the food, cover it with vinyl wrap or store in a container with a lid. This prevents moisture from evaporating and helps food to keep its taste and nutrients.

Don't keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator. This will result in an increased temperature and increase in power consumption.

It is desirable to store moist food (especially vegetable and fruit) in the vegetable storage compartment. If it is necessary to store on a shelf of the refrigerator, put it close to the door

away from the back wall of the refrigerator to avoid being frozen by the cool circulating in the refrigerator.

Cleaning

Cleaning of Interior Parts is recommended. Wash all compartments with a mild baking soda solution, then rinse and dry the compartment. Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or detergent to clean the exterior finish of your refrigerator. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.

During Vacations

During average length vacations, you will probably find it best to leave the refrigerator in operation. Place freezable items in freezer for longer life. When you plan to be away for an extended period, remove all food, disconnect the power cord, clean the interior thoroughly, and leave each door OPEN to prevent odour formation. To operate again, let the refrigerator run for 6-8 hrs. for stabilization.

औसतन छुढ्यियों के दौरान सबसे अच्छा रहेगा कि आप रेफ्रिजरेटर को चलता रहने दें। फ्रिजेबल सामानों को फ्रिजर में लम्बी अवधि के लिए रख दें। जब आप लम्बे समय के लिए बाहर हों तो सभी खाध पदार्थों को निकाल लें तथा विद्युत तार को निकाल दें। आन्तरिक रूप से पूरी सफाई करें और प्रत्येक दरवाजे को खोल दें, जिससे दुर्गन्ध न हो। दुबारा औपरेट करने के लिए, रेफ्रिजरेटर को 6-8 घंटे तक चलता रहने दें।

	-Power Supply Off.	Check that the refrigerator main supply plug is connected to the wall socket and that the supply is on. Check that the fuse is intact in he supply line.
	-Stabilizer not working properly	Please plug power cord of refrigerator directly in the wall socket and then check, if it works then get the stabilizer checked by Stabiizer Repairing Centre.
2. Refrigerator attempts to start, does not operate.	-Low Voltage.	Install a line-correcting transformer in the mains, or a Voltage Stabilizer.
3. Refrigerator compartment - Low Cooling	-Restriction of cold air circulation.	Provide space in between the dishes. If the shelves are covered with cloth or polythene, remove it.
	-Improper thermostat setting of Freezer Temp. Control / Refrigerator Temp. Control.	Set the Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob to colder (Max 5 ~7) position. Freezer Temp. Control Knob to be adjusted accordingly. At position 9 Freezer will be coldest.
	-Entry of hot air.	Opening and closing of the doors too often will result in hot air from outside rushing into the refrigerator causing the temperature to go up. Reduce the frequency of opening of the doors.
	-Storing hot foods.	Avoid storing hot foods in the refrigerator, cool them to room temperature before placing them inside the refrigerator.
4. Formation of water drops on exterior of refrigerator.	-High humidity during monsoon season.	During the monsoon, when the humidity in the atmosphere reaches around 90% water droplets may form around the sides of the refrigerator cabinet, especially the top portion. This moisture should be wiped off periodically. Contact our serviceman to check the door seal or proper and uniform contact with the cabinet.
5. Refrigerator Compartment — Overcooling	-Incorrect setting of Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob.	Lower the setting (1~3) of Refrigerator Temp. Control Knob to make the Refrigerator Compartment warmer.
6. Smell	-Improper covering and wrapping of food.	Wrap and cover food stuffs properly. Place caps on bottles and other liquid stores.
7. Difficulty in formation of ice and ice-cream.	-Incorrect setting of Freezer Temp. Control Knob.	For faster Ice & Ice-cream formation adjust the Freezer Temp. Control Knob to position 9.

8. Noise	-Normal cut-of/ cut-in noise	Whenever refrigerator starts & stop there is noise of Thermostat cut-off/ cut-in & Compressor start/stop. This is a normal phenomenon.
9. Bulb does not glow	-Bulb fused	Bulb is not covered under warranty LG Service Engineer will replace this on cost basis.

2. रेफ्रिजरेटर चालू होने लगता है पर काम नहीं करता	- कम बोल्टेज़	मेन्स में लाईन - करेविटंग ट्रांसफॉर्मर लगाएं यावोल्टेज स्टेबिलाइजर का इस्तेमाल करें ।
3. रेफ्रिजरेटर में रखे खाथ पदार्थों का कम ठंडा होना	- ठंडी हवा के प्रवाह में रुकावट- गलत थमांस्टेट नियंत्रण का चयन- गर्म हवा का प्रवेश- गर्म भोजन का भंडारण	बर्तनों के बीच जगह बनाएं। शैल्फ कपड़े या पोलिथीन से ढङकी हो तो उन्हें हटा दें।रेफ्रिजरेटर में अधिक ठंडक के लिए रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियंत्रक नोब को अधिकतम 5~7 स्थिति पर रखें तथा फ्रीजर में अधिकतम ठंडक के लिए ताप नियंत्रक नोब को 9 पर रखें।बार-बार दरवाजा खोलने से बाहर की गर्म हवा रेफ्रिजरेटर से प्रवेश करती है. दरवाजा कम से कम खोलें।गर्म पदार्थ रेफ्रिजरेटर में रखने से बचें. रेफ्रिजरेटर में भंडारण से पहले उन्हें कमरे के तापमान तक ठंडा कर लें ।
4. रेफ्रिजरेटर के बाहर पानी की बूदें जमना	- मानसूनी मौसम के कारण अत्यधिक आर्दता	मानसून के मौसम में जबकि वातावरण में आर्दता 90% तक हो जाती है तो रेफ्रिजरेटर की बगल में, खास तौर पर ऊपरी जिससे में पानी की बूदें जम सकती हैं. इस नमी को समय-समय पर साफ करना चाहिए. हमारे सर्विस प्रतिनिधि को बुलाकर ये जांच करवा लीजिए कि दरवाजे केबिनेट के साथ एक समान संपर्क में हैं और अच्छी तरह बंद होते हैं।
5. रेफ्रिजरेटर कम्पार्टमेंट - अधिक ठंडा होना	- रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियंत्रक नोब की गलत स्थिति	रेफ्रिजरेटर ताप नियंत्रक नोब को 1~3 तक रखें।
6. बर्ष और दुर्गध	- खाथ पदार्थ ठीक से ढके और लपेटे नहीं गए	खाथ पदार्थों को अच्छी तरह ढक कर और लपेट कर रखें. तरल पदार्थों को बोतलों और दूसरे पात्रों पर ढक्कन लगाकर रखें ।
7. गंध का होना	- फ्रीजर ताप नियंत्रक की गलत स्थिति- बर्तनों का उपयोग	बर्फ या आइसक्रीम जमाने के लिए फ्रीजर ताप नियंत्रक नोब को 9 पर रखें।बर्फ जमाने के लिए आइस ट्रे का इस्तेमाल करें ।
8. आवाज	- सामान्य रूप से रेफ्रिजरेटर के बंद/चालू होने की आवाज	थमांस्टेट और कम्प्रेशर के चालू/बंद होने के कारण रेफ्रिजरेटर चालू/बंद होता रहता है जिससे आवाज आती है। यह सामान्य प्रक्रिया है।
9. बल्ब का नहीं जलना	- फ्यूज बल्ब	बल्ब वारंटी के अन्तर्गत नहीं आता है। LG सर्विस इंजीनियर इसकी उघित कीमत लेकर बदल देगा।

The LG Refrigerator comes with 1 + 4 year warranty, from the date of purchase, that comprises of a 1 year warranty on all Parts (except Light Bulb, Consumables, Loose Plastic Parts, Glass) in the first year and thereafter a 4 year Additional warranty on the compressor, from the date of purchase of the product, provided always that the warranty card bears the rubber stamp, date and signature of our Authorised Dealer.

4 YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON COMPRESSOR

The 4 year warranty on Compressor will continue even after the expiry of 1 year period from the date of purchase. This warranty covers Compressor only. Gas/Gas Charging will be charged to the customer. Gas charging is included only when compressor is defective & inoperative. During the additional warranty period, it does not cover any part such as condenser, freezer, capillary, suction line, overload protector, relay, thermostat etc.. Standard visiting charges will be applicable within the municipal limit of town where LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (LGEIL) has its Authorized Service centre, Service outside municipal limit will attract to and fro traveling, other incidental expenses in addition to standard visiting charges, as prevailing from time to time. During the warranty period, only the parts replaced or repaired shall be free of costs, but service charges shall always be payable by the customer.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the Refrigerator only & is non-transferable.
2. Repairs & replacements will be carried out by the dealer from whom the product has been purchased, or through the Authorized Service Centers of LGEIL. In case the customer shifts the place of residence during warranty period, it is advised to contact Authorized Service Centre directly or call our help line.
3. Repairs under warranty shall be carried out by an authorized service personnel only. The details of centralized help lines are attached.
4. For units installed beyond municipal limits of the jurisdiction of company's Authorized Service Center, it is responsibility of the purchaser to contact the nearest authorized service center and bring the unit to the authorized service center at its own cost and risk. All expenses incurred in collecting the units or parts thereof from the company's authorized service center, as well as expenses incurred with deputizing of service personnel/technicians towards conveyance and other incidentals etc. will be borne by the customer. Local Charges for transportation and handling charges may vary from location to location. Customers are advised to verify before. In case the customer desires to bring the unit on its own to the Authorized Service Centre, the same shall be at its own risks & consequences.
5. The concerned authorized service center will advise the customer whether to effect the repairs at site or at the authorized service center.
6. Call registered with the centralized helpline/Authorized service center, wherein only cleaning of the unit/parts in the unit due to dust accumulation on portions of the unit, general explanations/returning, are not to be considered as defects.
7. In case of repairs or replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of LGEIL alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of LGEIL), the same model shall be replaced and in the event such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model of price equivalent at the time of purchase.
8. In case of any damage to the product / customer abuse/ repairs by un-authorised personnels/ misuse detected/ by the Authorized Service Center personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on a chargeable basis only.
9. This warranty shall not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the Refrigerator. The company's obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts only under the warranty period.
10. The company or its Authorized Service Center reserves the right to retain any part/s or component replaced at its discretion, in the event of a defect being noticed in the equipment during warranty period.
11. While the company will make every effort to carry out repairs at the earliest, it however is made expressly clear that the company is under no obligation to do so in a specified period of time.
12. Warranty does not cover accessories external to the equipment supplied by the dealer.
13. If any coloured internal or external components are replaced, there will be commitment to ensure that the shades match with the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, tints may vary from the customer's unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching components changed at customer's request will be on chargeable basis except the component which actually needed.

Warranty is not applicable in any of the following cases :

1. The warranty card is not completed properly at the time of purchase. 2. The completed warranty card is not presented to authorized service personnel at the time of service of the product. 3. The product is not operated according to instructions given in the Operating Instruction Booklet. 4. Defects are caused by improper or reckless use, which shall be determined by the company personnel. 5. Any repair work is carried out by persons other than authorized service personnel. 6. Defects are caused by due to causes beyond control like lightening, abnormal voltage, acts of God or while in transit to service center or purchaser's residence. 7. The warranty is not valid in case, the serial number is deleted, defected or altered. 8. Damage to the product or any part/s due to transportation or shifting is not covered by warranty. 9. a) This warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty period of 12 months, even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason. b) The warranty on compressor will automatically terminate on expiry of 4 years (after 1 year warranty period) even if the Refrigerator may not be in use for any time during the said period for any reason. 10. Only courts in state of Delhi and places where LGEIL has it's branch office shall have the jurisdiction for settling any claims, disputes arising under the warranty.
