Position your device within easy reach. Be able to access your wireless device without removing your eyes from the road. If you receive an incoming call at an incovergent line, let your voice mail answer it for you. Suspend calls in heavy traffic or hazardous weather conditions. "I can't take a high traffic, and heavy traffic can be hazardous. Do not take notes or lock up phone numbers. Jolting down a "do" list or tipping through your address book takes attention away from your primary responsibility of driving safety. Dial sensibly and assess the traffic. Place calls when you are not moving or before pulling into traffic. Try to plan calls when your car will be stationary. Do not engage in stressful or amotional conversations that may be breathing. Make people you are talking with aware you and driving and suspend conversations that have the potential to divert your attention from the road.

Use your device to call for help. Diet a local emergency number - in the case of fire, traffic accident, or medical emergencies. Use your device to help others in emergencies. If you see an auto accident, a crime in progress, or a serious emergency where lives are in danger, call a local emergency number. Call roadside assistance or a special, non-emergency assistance number when necessary. If you see a broken-down vehicle posing no serious hazard, a broken traffic signal, a minor traffic accident where no one appears injured, or a vehicle you know to be stolen, call roadside assistance or another special, non-emergency number.

Proper care and use of your mobile device

Keep your device dry

- Humidity and all types of liquids may damage device parts or electronic circuits. - Do not turn on your device if it is wet. If your device is already on, turn it off and remove the battery immediately (if the device will not turn off or you cannot remove the battery, leave it as-s). Then, dry the device with a travel and take it to a service centre

Do not store your device near magnetic fields

Do not charge the battery with chargers that are not approved by the manufacturer

Reduce the risk of repetitive motion injuries When you repetitively perform actions, such as prasting keys, crowing characters on a touch screen with your fingers, or playing games. You may experience occasional discomfort in your hands, necks, shuddlers, or other parts of your body. When using your device for extended periods, hold the device with a relaxed grip, press the keys lightly, and take frequent breaks. If you continue to have discomfort during or after such use, stop use and see a physician.

Never use a damaged charger or battery.

Caution: Follow all safety warnings and regulations when using your device in restricted areas

Turn off your device where prohibited Comply with all regulations that restrict the use of a mobile device in a particular area.

Do not use your device near other electronic devices. Most electronic devices use radio frequency signals. Your device may interfere with other electronic devices.

Do not use your device near a pacemaker Avoid using your device within a 15 cm range of a pacemaker if possible, as your device can interfere with the pacemaker. If you must use your device, keep it at least 15 cm away from the pacemaker.

To minimise the possible interference with a pacemaker, use your device on the opposite side of your body from the pacemaker.

Do not use your device in a hospital or near medical equipment that can be interfered with by radio frequency. If you personally use any medical equipment, contact the manufacturer of the equipment to ensure the safety of your equipment from radio frequency.

If you are using a hearing aid, contact the manufacturer for information about radio interference Some hearing aids may be interfered with by the radio frequency of your device. Contact the manufacturer to ensure the safety of your hearing aid.

- Avoid charging batteries for more than a week, as overcharging may shorten battery life.

When speaking on the device:

- Hold the device upright, as you would with a traditional phone. - Break directly into the southwest.

- Do not touch the device's internal antennas. Doing so may result in reduced call quality or cause the device to emit unintended levels of radio frequency (RF) energy.

Turn off the device in potentially explosive environments Turn off your device in potentially explosive environments instead of removing the battery. Always comply with regulations, instructions and signs in potentially explosive environments. Do not use your device at refusing points (service stations), near tubes or chemicals, and at bleating areas. Do not store or carry flammable liquids, gases, or explosive materials in the same compartment as the device, its parts, or accessories.

Turn off your device when in an aircraft Using your device in an aircraft is illegal. Your device may interfere with the electronic navigation instruments of the aircraft.

Electronic devices in a motor vehicle may malfunction due to the radio frequency of your device Electronic devices in your car may malfunction due to radio frequency of your device. Contact the manufacturer for more information.

Comply with all safety warnings and regulations regarding mobile device usage while operating a vehicle

While driving, safety operating the vehicle is your first responsibility. Never use your mobile device while driving, if it is prohibited by law. For your safety and the safety of others, practice good common sense and remember the following tips. Get to know your device and its convenience features, such as speed dial and radial. These features help you reduce the time needed to place or move calls on your mobile device.

Protect your hearing and ears when using a headset

- Excessive exposure to loud sounds can cause hearing damage. - Exposure to loud sounds while driving may distract your attention and cause an accident. - Always turn the volume down before plugging the earphones into an audio source and use only the minimum volume setting necessary to hear your conversation or music. - In dry environments, static electricity can build up in the headset. Avoid using heacels in dry environments or touch a metal object to discharge static electricity before connecting a headset to the device.

Use caution when using the device while walking or moving Always be aware of your surroundings to avoid injury to yourself or others. Make sure the headset cable does not become entangled in your arms or on nearby objects.

Do not carry your device in your back pockets or around your waist You can be injured or damage the device if you fall.

Do not disassemble, modify, or repair your device • Any changes or modifications to your device can void your manufacturer's warranty. For service, take your device to a Samsung Service Centre.

- Do not disassemble or puncture the battery, as this can cause explosion or fire.

Do not paint or put stickers on your device

Paint and siskers can clog moving parts and prevent proper operation. If you are allergic to paint or metal parts of the product, you may experience tching, ecaema, or swelling of the skin. When this happens, stop using the product and consult your physician.

When cleaning your device:

- Wipe your device or charger with a towel or an oraser. Clean the terminals of the battery with a cotton ball or a towel - Do not use chemicals or detergents.

Do not use the device if the screen is cracked or broken. Broken glass or acrylic could cause injury to your hands and face. Take the device to a Samsung Service Centre to have it repaired.

Do not use the device for anything other than its intended use

Your device is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with it as they could hunt themselves and others, damage the device, or make calls that increase your charges.

Install mobile devices and equipment with caution - Ensure that any mobile devices or related equipment installed in your vehicle are securely mounted.

- Avoid placing your device and accessories near or in an air bag deployment area. Improperly installed wireless equipment can cause serious injury when air bags inflate rapidly.

Allow only qualified personnel to service your device Allowing unqualified personnel to service your device may result in damage to your device and will void your manufacturer's warranty.

Handle SIM cards or memory cards with care

Do not remove a card while the device is transferring or accessing information, as this could result in loss of data and/or damage to the card or device.

Protect cards from strong shocks, static electricity, and electrical + noise from other devices

Do not touch gold-coloured contacts or terminals with your fingers + or metal objects. If dirty, wipe the card with a soft cloth.

Ensure access to emergency services

Emergency calls from your device may not be possible in some areas or circumstances. Before travelling in remote or undeveloped areas, plan an alternative method of contacting emergency services personnel.

Keep your personal and important data safe

While using your device, be sure to back up important data. Samsung is not responsible for data loss.

- When disposing of your device, back up all data and then reset your device to prevent misuse of your personal information.

- Carefully read the permission screen when downloading applications. Be particularly cautious with applications that have access to many functions or to a significant amount of your personal information.

Check your accounts regularly for unauthorized or suspicious + use. If you find any sign of misuse of your personal information contact your service provider to delete or change your account information.

• In the event your device is lost or stolen, change the passwords on your accounts to protect your personal information.

- Avoid using applications from unknown sources and lock your device with a pattern, password, or PIN.

Do not distribute copyright-protected material that you have recorded to others without the permission of the content owners. Doing this may violate copyright laws. The manufacturer is not liable for any legal issues caused by the user's illegal use of copyrighted material.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) certification information

THIS DEVICE MEETS INTERNATIONAL GUIDELINES FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES

Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves (radio frequency electromagnetic fields) recommended by international guidelines. The guidelines were developed by an independent scientific organisation (ICNIRP) and include a substantial safety margin designed to assume the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.

The radio wave exposure guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2.0 W/kg.

Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. The highest SAR values under the ICNIRP guidelines for this device model are:

During use, the actual SAR values for this device are usually well below the values stated above. This is because, for purposes of system efficiency and to minimise interference on the network, the operating power of your mobile device is automatically decreased when full power is not needed for the call. The lower the power output of the device, the lower its SAR value.

A body-worn SAR test has been performed on this device at a separation distance of 1.5 cm. To meet RF exposure guidelines during body-worn operation, the device must be positioned at least 1.5 cm away from the body.

Organisations such as the World Health Organisation and the US Food and Drug Administration have suggested that if people are concerned and want to reduce their exposure, they could use a hands-free accessory to keep the wireless device away from the head and body during use, or reduce the amount of time spent using the device.

Access menus

To access your phone's menus,

Manage your SIM cards

Your phone supports Dual SIM mode that enables you to use two SIM cards at the same time without changing them. Learn to activate SIM cards and change the card settings.

To activate SIM cards

1. In Menu mode, select Settings → SIM cards management

2. Select Network and scroll left or right to a SIM card. Press <3. Change> to activate the card

To switch SIM cards automatically

1. In Menu mode, select Settings → SIM cards management.

2. Select SIM auto switch.

Press <3. Change> to activate the auto switch feature.

1. Select a SIM card and set the starting and ending

time to switch to the SIM card.

Press <5. Save>

1. Repeat steps 4-5 for other SIM card.

Make a call

1. In idle mode, enter an area code and a phone number.

2. Press [→] to dial the number.

3. To end the call, press [√].

Answer a call

1. When a call comes in, press [→].

2. To end the call, press [√].

Adjust the volume

To adjust the volume of the ringtone

1. In Menu mode, select Settings · Profiles

2. Scroll to the profile you are using.

If you are using the silent or offline profile, you are not allowed to adjust the volume of the ringtone.

1. Press → Edit

2. Select Volume

3. Scroll to Call alert

4. Scroll left or right to adjust the volume level and press .

To adjust the volume of voice during a call

While a call is in progress, press the Navigation key up or down to adjust the volume.

In noisy environments, you may have difficulty hearing some calls while using the speakerphone feature. For better audio performance, use the normal phone mode.

Change your ringtone

1. In Menu mode, select Settings → Profiles.

2. Scroll to the profile you are using.

If you are using the silent, meeting, or offline profile, you are not allowed to change the ringtone.

1. Press · Edit.

2. Select Call ringtone

3. Select a ringtone.

To switch to another profile, select it from the list.

Call a recently dialled number

1. In Idle mode, press [→].

2. Scroll left or right to a call type.

3. Scroll up or down to a number or name.

4. Press the Confirm key to view details of the call or [→] to dial the number.

To change the text input mode

- Press and hold [#] to switch between T9 and ABC modes. Depending on your region, you may be able to access an input mode for your specific language. - Press [#] to change case or switch to Number mode.

- Press [■] to switch to Symbol mode.

- Press and hold [★] to select an input mode or change the input language.

T9 mode

1. Press appropriate alphanumeric keys to enter an entire word.

2. When the word displays correctly, press [0] to insert a space. If the correct word does not display, press the Navigation key up or down to select an alternative word.

ABC mode

Press an appropriate alphanumeric key until the character you want appears on the display.

Number mode

Press an appropriate alphanumeric key to enter a number.

Symbol mode

Press an appropriate alphanumeric key to enter a symbol.

To use other features for text input

• To move the cursor, press the Navigation key.

• To delete characters one by one, press .

To delete words quickly, press and hold .

- To insert a space between characters, press [0]. - To enter punctuation marks or emoticons, press [1] repealsibly.

• To start a new line, press [0] three times.

Add a new contact

The memory location to save new contacts may be preset depending on your service provider. To change the memory location, in Menu mode, select Contacts → Management → Save new contacts to → a memory location.

1. In Idle mode, enter a phone number and press

Send and view messages

To send a text message

1. In Menu mode, select Messages → Create message.

To view text messages

1. In Menu mode, select Messages > Inbox.
2. Select a text message.

Make fake calls

You can simulate an incoming call when you want to get out of meetings or unwanted conversations.

To activate the fake call feature

In Menu mode, select Settings → Applications → Call

Fake call · Fake call hot key · On.

To make a fake call

- In idle mode, press and hold the Navigation key down. - When the keys are locked, press the Navigation key down four times.

Activate and send an SOS message

In an emergency, you can send SOS messages to your family or friends for help.

To activate the SOS message

1. In Menu mode, select Messages → Settings → SOS messages → Sending options.

2. Scroll left or right to On.

3. Scroll down and press the Confirm key to open the recipient list.

4. Press — Contact list to open your contact list. You can also enter phone numbers in the recipient list. Skip to step 7.

5. Select a contact.

6. Select a number (if necessary)

When you are finished selecting contacts, press the 7. Confirm key → Save to save the recipients.

1. Scroll down and set the number of times to repeat the SOS message.

To send an SOS message

1. With the keys locked, press [→] four times to send an SOS message to preset numbers. The phone switches to SOS mode and sends the preset SOS message.

2. To exit SOS mode, press [√]

Activate the torch light

The torch light feature helps you see in dark places by making the display and backlight as bright as possible. In idle mode, press and hold the Navigation key up to activate the torch light mode. The torch light automatically turns on.

To turn off the torch light, press and hold the Navigation key up again.

Listen to the FM radio

1. Plug a headset into the phone.

2. In Menu mode, select Applications → FM radio

3. Press the Confirm key to start the EM radio

4. Press to start automatic tuning. The radio scans and saves available stations automatically.

The first time you turn on the FM radio, you will be prompted to start automatic tuning.

1. Control the FM radio using the following keys:
